Speculation about the new BMW M4 Coupe (G82) and the technically identical M3 (G80), which will probably be on the lightweight CLAR platform, has been going on for months. And while in the past few years the focus was mostly on the engine and relevant keywords flooded the search engines, it is currently terms such as "huge", "gigantic", "mega" or "kidney" that are suggested to us! BMW has finally announced that the top model (also the M3) will stand out more from the normal 3 Series and in particular the Coupé 4 Series should be optically much more independent. The topic was fueled in 2019 with the BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe and since then various leaks, renderings and Prototypes for more and more rumors and speculations. And we also thought about how the top coupé of the 4 series could come onto the market.

Of course not as a production vehicle, but as it should be for tuning blog, as a tuned widebody variant. And with a design that on the Darwin Pro BMW 2 Series BlackSails Vision GT is ajar. That means with significantly widened fenders that are seamlessly integrated into the body. The production vehicle will certainly be a whole lot more filigree and also more rough edges (Hofmeister kink etc.), especially at higher waistlines. The most important thing is there, the huge kidney! And we have integrated it as a black variant in a typical M apron including front splitter. There were also bad headlights as we know them from the Concept 4 Series Coupé. Here, too, BMW will probably go for a more civil (more) Set variant. And under the hood? We can let our thoughts run free. But we remain realistic and rely on the S58 inline six-cylinder with 3-liter displacement and biturbo charging from the 2019 X3 M / X4 M. It will deliver 3 hp as a competition model in the M4 / M520.

However, if you add new turbochargers, a revised intake and cooling system, chip tuning software and a special exhaust system to the engine, the 800 hp mark should drop quickly. After all, the S55B30 predecessor on the part of BMW was upgraded to 500 PS (M4 Coupe GTS) pushed and tuned variants with over 700 hp are by no means uncommon. Yes, on to the details of "our M4". In the widened wheel arches, he got an approx. 21-inch HAMANN Anniversary EVO forged wheel set in matt black with a small accent in red. Behind it a powerful sports brake system and of course a significant lowering. The fenders have the typical M kidneys and the rear is also quite massive.
extremely widened rear on the M4
Here we rely on the extremely wide fenders mentioned, there was an aggressive apron with diffuser including a 4-pipe sports exhaust system and on the tailgate a large ducktail spoiler lip can be seen. And similar to the new 2020 BMW i4 Concept, the rear lights are also designed. However, we opted for a variant with a continuous light strip, as can currently be seen on many vehicles. Does BMW also rely on it? We don't think! BMW will certainly install a bonnet and power dome that we simply forgot ^^. But we also only played around with a graphics program to sweeten the time until the official presentation of the M4 / M3. Should we promptly provide further information (Leaks, Erlkönige, renderings etc.) To get the M3 / M4 there is of course an update for this report as always. Update
News from 12.05.2020
We have now buttoned up the M4 again and completely wrapped in black. The red rim ring is now black and apart from the typical BMW emblem in white / blue, there is no color on the widebody monster. Have fun with the new pictures!
