Der aktuelle BMW M4 Competition (G82) is probably one of the last sporty BMW models which not has an electrified drive. After all, M GmbH also wants to become greener, and high-performance models with a green paint are already in the pipeline. For example, it has already been confirmed that the Electric sedan i4 gets a sporty M offshoot, and one too iM2 is currently being wildly speculated in the media. Rumors are going around that the electric compact sports car called iM2 can deliver up to an insane 1.300 hp and sprint from 0 to 100 in well under three seconds. But before that happens, a lot of water will flow down the Isar, and currently the M4 Competition with its 510 hp is probably one of the most popular models from Munich when it comes to performance and driving pleasure.

Controversial grill and aggressive styling.

The design of the exterior is quite controversial among BMW fans because the front with its huge kidney grille, which is also mockingly called "Coffin grill" is called, enormously polarized. Overall, the discreet, timeless styling of the M4 is over, because not only the front is aggressive, but the rear also looks martial if you compare it with the discreet predecessors. Large air inlets, an extremely angular and spectacular diffuser and the black spoiler lip at the rear give the M4 Competition a design that picks up on the racing history of the BMW brand and, in a certain way, brings that DTM feeling to and around the sporty Bavaria. Overall, the styling is more of a revolution than an evolution, and unusually brave by BMW standards.

Only with the four-pipe exhaust system, which has a conventional arrangement of the tailpipes, everything stayed the same. At least if you don't the M-Performance exhaust with diffuser orders. And to round off the sporty appearance, were on this M4 Competitionthat we introduce to you today, satin black Forgestar F14 rims built in, which from our point of view fit perfectly, as they harmonize perfectly with the black grill and the black design elements, which provide an ideal contrast to the yellow exterior color. The rims have the same format on the front axle 19 × 10 in, while rear wheels in the format 20 × 11 in were raised. The concave low-bed optics are ideal for the M4, as in our opinion the 4 Series looks even more like racing.

Racing atmosphere also in the interior.

The interior of the car presented by us exudes a racing atmosphere wherever you look. No matter if it is Carbon racing bucket seats with integrated headrests and leather upholstery, or whether you go for the yellow Roll cage who has displaced the back seat from the rear, you will witness a racing interior of the purest water. Of course, they also go with this Door sills with "M4 Competition" letteringthat make it clear to everyone as soon as they step in that this is not an ordinary BMW.

3-liter in-line six-cylinder biturbo

An R6 twin-turbo gasoline engine acts as the drive source with a huge 510 PS and a mighty 650 Newton meters of maximum torque. The unit in the M4 Competition is coupled to a Eight-speed automatic with manual intervention, and the power transmission takes place exclusively on the Rear wheels. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h takes place in 3,8 seconds, and with the optional Driver's Package the 250 km / h limit is raised, and the M4 Competition enjoys free run up to 290 km / h. Thus, even in the current generation, it remains true to its motto as a car that can clear the left lane of the motorway.

Our conclusion on this BMW M4:

We were a bit surprised how much the car with the Forgestar F14 rims remains true to its character, and refines it even further to become the perfect vehicle for all BMW M fans. If you liked the M4, you can take a look at the corresponding picture gallery that we have attached to the article.
