BMW M5 (E60) with Senner refinement program!

If you put everything on the gold scales, you can describe the S85B50 engine from BMW with ten cylinders as technically difficult, maintenance-intensive and vulnerable. Furthermore, almost every turbo engine now outshines it in terms of torque. Nevertheless, the unit has very special charms, namely the inimitable sound that makes it a legend in automotive engineering. Among BMW fans, the engine is considered the most powerful and fascinating engine that has ever powered a street-legal BMW. Not screaming as extremely metallic as the high-revving V8 in the E9x-M3, the ten-cylinder (maximum speed 8250 rpm) remains a dream of BMW disciples to this day. Today we would like to introduce you to a modified M5 with a V10 vacuum cleaner.

Black, broad, strong.

Senner Motors from Ingelheim in Saarland has made such a V10-M5 of the E60 generation. Next to one Lowering using an adjustable KW-V3 coilover kit with compression and rebound adjustment also found CF.3 FF R wheels from the company Wheelforce the way to the M5. They impress with their finish in Gloss Steel and come in a 20-inch format. On the front axle, the rims measure 9,5 × 20 inches and their Tires are 255/30 R20 in size, while 295/39 R20 rollers are used on the rear axle, with tires measuring 11×20 inches.

Subtle changes make the difference!

The interior was only changed by reupholstering the M sports steering wheel and M-seams in the cockpit, but otherwise remained unchanged. The V10 naturally aspirated petrol engine, which has already been mentioned several times, breathes thanks to a Sport air filter not just a free one, but by one Stainless Steel Mufflers von Eisenmann also clearly more sonorous and energetic. Through a power converter, which works like an accelerator pedal tuning, the engine reacts much more spontaneously to gas impacts and the characteristic curves of the electronic accelerator pedal are sharpened. Unfortunately, we have no further information on the exact performance specifications and we do not have the mileage either. The BMW S85-V10 naturally aspirated engine with 40 valves should not significantly exceed the factory 507 PS & 520 NM even with the modifications.

Our verdict on the Senner BMW M5 (E60):

Less is sometimes more! minor modifications help the M5-V10 sucker on the jumps and there is also a subtly refined M5 body. We give a thumbs up for this tuning. If we get more information about the changes to the BMW M5, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to.
