Today we have a vehicle on our own behalf! And that is our current companion when it comes to the IAA or at tuning meetings of any kind. This vehicle will be with us for the next 1-2 years. Specifically, it is a BMW M550i xDrive of the current generation G30. The vehicle is a 3-year-old copy, so not a facelift, the N63B44-V8 of which BMW is already equipped with 530 PS and 750 NM ex works. As standard, our variant "only" 462 PS & 650 NM and achieved this figure without any problems in a recent measurement. In terms of torque, it was even a bit higher with 675 NM. And why did we put the vehicle to the test? Because of course he's one performance increase got.
550 PS & 850 Nm torque
Through Chip tuning stage 1 (Tuning box) and with 102 octane fuel, things went up for our M550i 550 PS & 850 Nm torque and another package as Stage 2 with changed Turbochargers and newer Exhaust System is already in the planning stage. We will see how realistic that is by autumn of this year at the latest.
But increasing performance alone was not enough. In the Mirror covers completely different came in M5 optics for use and the glossy black kidneys come from the shelf of M.
