Who would have thought that! At first you don't dare to get close to an M version of the 7-series BMW for decades, and then it comes, and that is exorbitantly violent ... A good two years after the debut of the BMW 7-series G11 / G12, a muscular twelve-cylinder version called the M760Li crowns it Portfolio of the Bavarian luxury sedan. And now you have seen it and combined the mighty power exclusively with all-wheel drive, in combination with the 6,6 liter biturbo engine, this is the most powerful variant of BMW ever. But the price of an impressive 166.900 euros also sets new standards for the Munich-based company.
For the first time since 1977, the performance subsidiary M GmbH has adopted the brand's flagship and has finally created an adequate counterpart to the S-AMG and Audi S8. The whole thing can be recognized by the typical sequence of digits that begins with the "M". And of course the subtle 800 Newton meters of the V12 are sufficient to accelerate the 2,2-ton 7 Series including the extended wheelbase from 3,7 to 0 km / h in just 100 seconds. The maximum speed of the luxury liner is 305 km / h, which is due to an electronic lock, open it would certainly easily go 330 km / h or more.

Quite unusual for a 7 Series is the new, much more aggressive look. Hardly any chrome, but huge air inlets, highlighted blue brake calipers, sporty black painted 20-inch alloy wheels and M logos on the flanks and on the dynamic rear set the M760i apart from the “normal” models with 4, 6 and 8 cylinders. And by the way, the engineers also succeeded in creating a unique mix of driving dynamics, comfort, smooth running and long-distance comfort that is so important in this class. The Munich-based company manages this difficult balancing act with adaptive air suspension, electromechanical roll stabilization, complex integral active steering and a steering rear axle.
Especially out of tight bends, you can clearly see that the rear wheels are trying hard to get the rear on track. The M760Li gives you the feeling of literally floating over the asphalt, and can still sweep around corners as easily as a smaller sports sedan, and a lap on the Nordschleife is also conceivable.
