Almost 20 years after the production stop of the avant-garde BMW 8 Series (E31), the BMW 2018 Series G8 appeared in 15. The BMW M2019 (F8) celebrated its premiere in summer 92. For the up to 625 hp Coupé from BMW M, the KW coilover Variant 4 is now available, which shares the damper technology of the BMW M4 GTS. On poor roads or high-speed passages on the motorway, the chassis conveys a sporty, comfortable and convincingly safe driving behavior. The special feature of this accessory chassis are the high-performance dampers. Like the standard suspension in the BMW M4 GTS, the KW coilover variant 4 can be independently tuned in the rebound, low-speed and high-speed compression forces. In conjunction with a maximum lowering of up to 35 millimeters, the M8 Competition (F92) shines in everyday life. The suggested retail price is 5.156 euros.

With three-way high-performance dampers, the KW Variant 4 coilover kit for BMW M8 (F92) and BMW M8 (F92) Competition offers an ideal opportunity to combine the wish of a continuously adjustable lowering with increased handling, rolling comfort and driving safety. The damper technology developed by KW automotive, among other things, in the original equipment of the BMW M4 GTS ensures a significant increase in cornering stability even at high speeds. The tendency of the body structure to curl is reduced. “When developing our Variant 4, the focus was on driving fun and gaining driving and, in particular, lateral dynamics. In addition, our dampers with their adjustable multi-valve technology increase driving comfort, ”says KW Brand Manager Jonas Ehrmann. "Thanks to the independently adjustable compression and rebound in the low-speed and high-speed range, our factory-set performance setting can be changed to a ride-comfort-oriented set-up."

With 16 exact clicks, the rebound forces can be adjusted for tighter handling or more comfort. With the two pressure setting dials directly on the damper, it is possible to specifically influence the steering behavior and other parameters such as rolling comfort and tire grip. With six clicks in low-speed printing (seven characteristic curves) and 15 clicks in high-speed printing (16 characteristic curves), variant 4 allows a large coordination window for an individual chassis setup. The KW valve technology used also has a blow-off characteristic with large cross sections. The resulting high low-speed damper forces provide support for the vehicle body without the body lifting at high wheel-damper speeds (over bumps).

Just a few clicks give the BMW more driving dynamics or driving comfort - depending on the individual suspension setting. Due to the complex multi-valve technology, the differences are significantly greater than with a conventional electronically adjustable chassis. When converting to the KW coilover kit variant 4, a so-called decommissioning kit is also connected. Except for the adaptive damper control, all assistance and driving dynamics systems of the BMW M8 remain active. As part of the parts certificate, the M8 Competition and the M8 can be lowered continuously from 15 - 35 mm. "Our variant 4 chassis generation is already used ex works in various super sports cars, so drivers of the BMW M8 can now retrofit this award-winning performance." The recommended retail price for the KW coilover kit variant 4 with its three-way high-performance dampers is 5.156 Euros and is available immediately.
