On Montreal Motor Show BMW presented a very striking one M8 Gran Coupé, which drew everyone's attention. The vehicle is a violet model, which was issued in the color called Twilight Purple, and at the same time could have a number of M-Performance parts. Well, the M8 as a Gran Coupé is not an inconspicuous car, but this one looks so hot that you could burn your fingers on it. The BMW fan gets his money's worth with the carbon splitters on the front, the exterior mirror housings made of carbon and various other race parts from M GmbH, which range from a spoiler lip at the rear to a carbon fiber roof once again demonstrates its strength when it comes to putting cars on the road for absolute tuning and racing fans. The above-mentioned paint, called Twilight Purple, can also be ordered as a special paint from BMW Individual, BMW's exclusive finishing division.
Sporty yet clear design.
The design of the 8 Series Gran Coupé is very sporty, with a crouched sideline and an aggressively designed front, which, however, looks much more reserved than the front of the planned four Coupe, which has a huge kidney in Lexus style, which is almost heart-shaped goes across the entire front, and which I think is at least two sizes too big. The 8 Series shows itself in the classic BMW style, sporty and elegant and even the retrofitted spoiler on the trunk lid, which comes from M Performance GmbH, does not look overly sporty, but blends harmoniously into the lines of the four-door car. The four tailpipes also fit well with the sporty demands, as they are classically arranged and dispense with showmanship.
Technically nothing was changed in engines.
Nothing has been changed on the engine and transmission, but 600 PS and 750 Newton meters of maximum torque should also be enough power for most ambitious tuning fans to show who sets the tone on the highway. There is also an M8 Competition version, which makes 25 hp more, but the exhibit is the "smaller" M8 as a Gran Coupé, which, as already mentioned above, is also very good in terms of performance. At 250 km / h is normally locked, but for a surcharge there is the release to 305 km / h, which a super sports car with four doors like the M8 faces much better.
Who drives such a thing?
Finally, the question of who wants to drive something like that always arises, of course, because after all, BMW doesn't just want to show a feasibility study, but also offers the M Performance Parts and the paint called Twilight Purple on the market. Drivers of such an automobile are car fans of all kinds, who attach great importance to individual optics, without wanting a vehicle that looks stylish or even chubby. The paintwork is certainly not for everyone, but it attracts everyone's attention and is guaranteed to cause discussions among car fans.
