BMW has taken the Vision M Next with body made of recycled carbon to the IAA 2019. We would like to take this as an opportunity to introduce you to the future vision of dynamic driving by BMW a little closer. But at least in terms of the drive of the Vision M Next not necessarily keep up with the brand new Mercedes EQC, the VW ID.3 or the Porsche Taycan as we find. The Vision M NEXT, which celebrated its world premiere as part of the #NEXTGen infotainment platform, is a plug-in hybrid. The propulsion takes place on request battery electric (two electric motors - one on the rear axle, one on the front axle) or by four-cylinder gasoline engine with turbocharger. The system performance of 600 PS should be sufficient to accelerate in 3,0 seconds from a standstill to 100 km / h and to be fast over 300 km / h.

If you drive purely electrically, and curbs, so allegedly up to 100 kilometers can be covered. Drive side can be chosen between four-wheel or rear-wheel drive. Is the Vision M Next just an evolution of the i8? Nein! The real highlights are shown in the cabin. The car is unlocked using facial recognition, for example, when the driver approaches, and pressing the touchscreen on the wing doors opens them in a spectacular way. Inside there are 3 viewing levels on which BMW distributes the operating options and all important information. Level 1 is the horizontally aligned steering wheel that has two small displays. Behind it is a curved glass display that stretches directly around the steering wheel. And as a highlight, the windshield has been completely mutated into an "augmented reality head-up display".

The glass display behind the steering wheel shows, for example, the engine speed, the speed and the energy management of the Vision M Next on "five levels". But that's not all. Even the driver's heart rate can be displayed on request. And the so-called "Personal Assist" is also built in. He organizes a parking space at the destination or books the hotel room straight away. The M Next study is only 1,275 meters high (1,6 centimeters lower than an i8), but a stately 2,013 meters wide and 4,582 meters long. The concept car only has two seats and the steep rear end in particular is probably a matter of taste. A reference to the M1 in combination with the paintwork of the BMW Turbo from 1972 is no coincidence. The BMW Vision M Next is particularly impressive with the interior and the great seats as well as the display concept called Boost-Pod on three levels. Have fun looking at the pictures and the video and stay true to us!
