From March 2022, the new BMW X2 Edition GoldPlay will enable a particularly extroverted appearance in urban traffic and beyond.

The new special edition underlines the individual character of the BMW X2 and combines equipment highlights such as the extended M high-gloss Shadow Line, the "X2" logo projection from the exterior mirror on the driver's side or the optional adaptive LED headlights with four-segment matrix high beam function , cornering lights and adaptive light control, with exclusive details on the exterior and specific interior equipment, the features of which support the intense driving experience. The new BMW X2 Edition GoldPlay is offered in conjunction with all drive variants available for the compact SAC. This also includes the BMW X2 xDrive25e plug-in hybrid model and the outstandingly sporty BMW X2 M35i.

The new BMW X2 Edition GoldPlay combines its exclusive exterior and interior features with the design and equipment features of the M Sport package. An M sports suspension including vehicle lowering by 10 millimeters and M sports steering optimize the driving dynamics potential of the compact SAC. In addition, a large, three-part lower air intake in the front apron, front and rear bumper panels with inserts in the color Dark Shadow, wheel arch covers, rocker panels and claddings in body color as well as the M high-gloss Shadow Line and the M aerodynamics package ensure a powerful appearance. In addition to the trim strips on the side window frames and window recess covers, the trim on the B-pillars and the trim surround on the C-pillars, the mirror frame, the mirror base and the mirror triangle, the edition vehicles also have the tailpipe trims of the exhaust system and the ring of the BMW emblem on the tailgate finished in high gloss black.

Distinctive inserts with new two-tone graphics and color accents in Galvanic Gold also adorn the 19-inch M aerodynamic wheels included in the edition vehicles' equipment. The optionally available 20-inch M aerodynamic wheels are also equipped with rim inserts in their own graphic design with Galvanic Gold accents.

New exterior paintwork, distinctive foiling.

The exterior color San Remo Green metallic, available for the first time for the BMW X2, is reserved exclusively for the edition vehicles. Alternatively, the variants Alpine White non-metallic, Misano Blue metallic, Sapphire Black metallic, Skyscraper Gray metallic and the BMW Individual paint finishes Storm Bay metallic, Frozen Black metallic and Frozen Pure Gray metallic are available. Another exclusive feature are the graphic foils in Galvanic Gold in the area of ​​the doors and the front and rear side walls. In connection with the two matt Frozen paint finishes, the foiling on the exterior as well as the mirror caps and the accents on the BMW kidney grille in Galvanic Gold are omitted. Instead, the surround of the kidney is in high-gloss black, the mirror caps are painted in the body color. This omission option is also available for all other exterior colors on request.

The combination of M-specific equipment features with innovative details ensures an ambience that is as sporty as it is exclusive in the interior of the BMW X2 Edition GoldPlay. The M leather steering wheel with multifunction buttons, the anthracite-colored headliner, the M stainless steel pedals and the M driver's footrest as well as the vehicle key with the characteristic M designation underline the sporty orientation of the edition vehicles. Carefully placed accents create a stylistic connection to their exterior design. These include new door sills, the matt surfaces of which have a structure derived from the mesh design of the BMW kidney and bear the “Edition” lettering in Galvanic Gold. The decorative strips in the Dark Graphite matt variant, which were also specially designed for the edition, have a graphic in the area of ​​the instrument panel on the passenger side that corresponds to the foiling on the exterior. A laser engraving technique is used here for the first time, which applies the graphic in the color Golden Mica Metallic to the surface of the decorative strip and seals it with clear varnish.

Another highlight of the edition-specific interior appointments are the M sports seats with particularly pronounced side bolsters and integrated headrests for the driver and front passenger, which are combined with an exclusive version of the Dakota leather appointments. The black leather surfaces of the driver and front passenger seats as well as the seats in the rear are perforated in the middle area of ​​the backrests. Contrasting seams and piping in the golden yellow color Giallo Oro set an individual accent. The M sports seats also have an emblem flag with the colors of BMW M GmbH on the piping on the backrest. The equipment also includes contrasting stitching in golden yellow Giallo Oro on the instrument panel and center console, as well as on the free-standing center armrest and the driver's and front passenger's door supports. The borders of the anthracite-colored floor mats are also in the color Giallo Oro. Only the BMW X2 xDrive25e, as an edition vehicle, has anthracite-colored floor mats with gray edging.
