He is one of the traditional tuners from Germany who has been dealing with the BMW brand for decades - Hamann Motorsport, No matter if it is supposed to be luxurious visual carbon or the search for particularly lightweight GFK mirrors, roof spoilers, etc. is in progress, at Hamann you will find it if you want to refine a BMW. And the tuner now brings an ultimate smash hit for the current BMW X5 model series F15 on the market and should therefore complete the chapter F15 / F85 synonymous. An extensive "widebody kit" should be the ultimate answer for a planned body tuning. And that could certainly work because the new attachments look fabulous.
Hamann provides with the kit that the F15 a completely new face receives while the characteristic features of the SUV are completely preserved. The body kit includes a redesigned front bumper in the HAMANN design, which includes a pair of integrated daytime running lights with fiber-optic technology and LED fog lights. In addition, the skirt is wider on the sides than the standard component so that the widebody fenders with indicated air passages get a perfect transition. The components ensure that the X5 goes to huge 12 centimeters in width which of course is an announcement.
And the elegantly modeled side skirts are also from the Hamann shelf. They create a precisely fitting transition to the four-part fender flares at the rear. The rear extensions are of course optimally adapted to the lines of the F15 and are therefore seamlessly integrated into the silhouette of the F15. The roof edge is given a 2-part roof spoiler which, in our opinion, is exactly the right size and looks more dynamic than the standard part. The massive appearance is rounded off with a huge and quite formidable rear apron including a powerful diffuser which is of course also significantly wider than the series component. The diffuser also includes an optional sports exhaust system with four black or silver anodized tailpipe trims that will put a smile on the face of sound enthusiasts.
And of course such a brilliant appearance must also be crowned with an increase in performance. HAMANN Motorsport has the right one in stock for the 25d, 30d, 40d, M50d, xDrive 35i and xDrive 50i engines. The X5 gets more power by means of an additional control unit, which means, for example, that the M50d (the most powerful six-cylinder diesel with three turbochargers) increases its power to 462 hp instead of the standard 381 hp. And the smaller gasoline engine xDrive 35i will receive a powerful 360 hp after the upgrade instead of the previous 306 hp. The presentation vehicle also got a new set of wheels, of course, and the choice fell on a 22-inch set of Hamann Anniversary EVO rims with a classic silver-gray finish.
The Munich is rounded off with Hamann emblems on the front and back, which replace the blue and white BMW emblems.
