What about that X5M (E70) started and also before F85 didn't stop, which of course shouldn't be missing from the current F95 either. What do we mean? The TYPHOON tuning kit from G-Power! Because it is available now and could also fit the upcoming X5 M facelift (F95 LCI) or at least be made suitable by G-Power in the future. But first things first. What is it all about? Just a few weeks before the upcoming X5 M facelift, the team around the tuning company G-Power has the or current Pre-LCI-X5 equipped with a huge tuning program and presented to the world public. The focus was on a massive increase in performance for the most powerful variant of the power SUV, which, by the way, is technically identical to the X6 F96.

The conversion is called "Typhoon S" and should not only remind of the elemental force of a tropical cyclone, it should also score points with its enormous performance with an unmistakable look. Because the X5 received a powerful nine-piece Wide body kit made of carbon (TYPHOON S carbon aerodynamic body kit) all around, and this ensures that the already powerful appearance of the X5 M from the factory becomes even more powerful. The kit includes a front splitter attachment, there were other side skirts, one at the rear diffuser attachment and a rear spoiler can also be seen. The highlight of the components are clearly the wheel arch extensions all around in combination with the 11 × 23 inches Forged wheels of the Hurricane RR type. Incidentally, the pitch-black wheel set is also equipped Low-profile tires in 315/25 R23 format.

And due to a very significant lowering by means of G-POWERthread springs the wheel set sits consistently in the wheel housing. A whopping 40 millimeters at the front and even up to 45 millimeters at the rear are possible. But the focus is of course on the technical changes that make the X5 M the G-Power Typhoon S. The S8 biturbo V63 with a displacement of 4,4 liters received significantly larger GPUpgrade turbocharger, which make higher boost pressures possible, and with other components like others down pipes they ensure an increase in performance to 800 hp.

G-Power Deeptone sports exhaust system

In addition, of course, there is an in-house software and the Deeptoneexhaust system, whose sound per flap control can be influenced not only reduces the exhaust back pressure, but also improves the acoustics. Visually, the exhaust system has four mighty ones tailpipes with a diameter of 100 and 110 millimeters. Whether it's the complete Typhoon kit, as with E71, also for the F96 X6 will be, that is not known at the moment. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
