There are days when you just do not have to look at things rationally. The best example is the current BMW X5 M F85. Here, over 2 tons from Munich try the splits between off-road and sports cars. The whole thing is garnished with a minimum price of 114.300 € which the proud owner has to earn first. If you want to go into the terrain then is also on a different sheet. And if we are honest: with one Land Rover Defender yes, but probably not with an X5 M, it's just made for the road. The driving values also testify to this. Thanks to the eight-cylinder twin-turbo engine and a whopping 575 hp (20 more than before) it goes to 4,2 km / h in just 100 seconds and a maximum of 250 km / h is possible. If you choose the optional Drivers Package, the bolt is only pushed forward at 280 km / h.

Visually, there are also some differences from the normal X5 because of M shows off with huge air inlets in the front, discreetly widened wheel arches and a four-pipe exhaust system that gives your tone. Ingredients that are actually sufficient to keep the competition in check and to get that certain "superior" driving experience. Actually… The Swiss Team of DS automobile & autowerke GmbH has made an X5M and shows that a lot more is possible here if desired. The absolute highlight is a performance increase from Hamann Motorsport, which uses chip tuning to ensure that crazy 670 PS rage in the Munich SUV from now on. Please note that this is as much power as the current Ferrari 488 GTB produces! In addition, something has changed very subtly in the optics, here you could not have acted better. A set of black kidneys and gills from the BMW Performance Parts shelf was installed and there were also new aluminum rims.

Here the choice fell on a Hamann Anniversary Evo wheelset in an estimated 22 inches, which with its satin black painted surface fits perfectly with the overall picture. In addition, there seems to have been a subtle lowering, but we have no information on this yet. We are also not quite sure whether a sports exhaust system was installed, if you take a closer look at the tailpipes with carbon coating, it seems to be a sports exhaust system from the M Performance shelf. But that is not certain! There isn't much more to say about the X5M so we'll leave it with the pictures. If we get more specific information about the modifications, there is of course, as always, an update for this report.
