This Brabus model, which we are presenting to you today, became perhaps the best-known G-model in Germany overnight. "Protz-Benz gets stuck on the Elbe", was the lurid headline last April, when the vehicle owner had a mishap and got stuck in the deep sand on the sandy beach of the Elbe. Even more embarrassing was the fact that he couldn't get out without outside help and therefore had to be freed by the fire department. We would now like to introduce you to the vehicle!
Exterior with a full program!
In addition to the BRABUS Masterpiece carbon body kit, the one front apron with front apron attachment, one hood scoop, fender attachments, a rear apron with diffuser, a rear spoiler and contains other components, the G63 still has the grille from the G65 AMG. There are also black-tinted headlights, facelift design LED rear lights with dynamic turn signals in "TIP Exclusive" design, carbon mirror caps with pinstripe/AMG logo in Edition 1 design and full carbon ventilation grilles in the fenders, which in glossy carbon/red design finish.
For this purpose, the body was kept in black and all chrome and plastic elements are painted. Furthermore, the tailgate cleared and the spare wheel and its bracket removed to get a robust look. A BRABUS Ride Control chassis is also installed Spacers, which per TÜV special entry is approved. BRABUS Monoblock F Platinum Edition rims with a two-tone Black/Red design in 11×23 inches were selected as the wheelset. The mounted tires have the format 305/35 R23 all around. Red-coated brake calipers with AMG lettering live behind the rims. A BRABUS flap sports exhaust system is also included down pipes and Sportkats, which, thanks to three sidepipes per side, trumpets the unfiltered V8 sound.
Inside, everything is just the finest!
The cockpit of the colossus is dominated by noble "fine leather", which comes up with diamond quilting and red double decorative seams. The pattern awaits the pilot not only on the seats, but also on the door panels or on the selector lever of the automatic transmission. Embroidered headrests at the front and back are also included.
The upper part of the dashboard is also covered with leather with a carbon-like texture to transport a little racing feeling into the monster SUV. There are also various BRABUS accessories that make driving much more pleasant and comfortable. Last but not least, TIP Exclusive installed a high-end sound system including a custom-made subwoofer in the trunk.
700 PS and 960 Newtonmeter
Of course, the engine must not remain untouched and so the 5,5-liter V8 biturbo petrol engine was pushed to a whopping 700 hp and a massive 960 Newton meters of maximum torque. The performance was achieved thanks to two special turbochargers and an additional control unit. The performance kit is called PowerXtra B63S-700 and comes from BRABUS. Unfortunately, we don't know anything about the performance of the highly potent heavyweight. Power is transmitted to all four wheels via an automatic transmission.
Our conclusion:
