BRABUS 900 Super Black Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 4MATIC+!

BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK: The world's largest independent automobile tuner is now offering a new, luxurious, high-performance SUV under this label. The name says it all: the color black dominates both inside and out. The forged BRABUS Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" 24-inch wheels are also presented in the same color. Matching the black finish, all other trim parts that are chrome-plated on the base car were glazed in Shadow Gray. Visible carbon elements set sporty accents on the body and in the interior. The heart of this all-wheel drive supercar is the BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo engine with a displacement increased to 4,5 liters and a high-performance turbo system. After the conversion, the eight-cylinder produces 662 kW / 900 hp peak power and a maximum torque of 1.250 Nm, which is limited to 1.050 Nm in the vehicle.

BRABUS 900 Super Black

  • 4,5 liter V8 biturbo engine with 662 kW / 900 hp and a maximum torque of 1.250 Nm
  • 0 – 100 km/h in 3,6 seconds and up to 330 km/h V/max
  • Sporty visible carbon aerodynamics package and BRABUS 24-inch high-tech forged wheels
  • Exclusive BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior

The driving performance is at the level of a thoroughbred sports car: the BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK catapults itself from a standstill to 3,6 km/h in just 100 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 310 or 330 km/h, depending on the selected wheel/tire combination. The interior of the high-performance luxury SUV was given a particularly exclusive BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior in black leather and Alcantara in the in-house upholstery shop. The BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK is available at a recommended retail price of €440.955 (price including 19 percent VAT in Germany).

one of the most powerful engines from Brabus

For more than 45 years, the BRABUS brand has stood for high-performance engines that combine outstanding performance and flawless durability with the utmost perfection. And so, of course, the new BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK is powered by one of the most powerful engines in the company's history. According to proven tradition, the GLS 63 engine is completely revised in the high-tech engine construction of the Bottrop-based company: The recipe for the BRABUS ROCKET 900 V8 biturbo engine is as complex as it is proven: more displacement means more power! That is why the cylinder capacity of the eight-cylinder, four-valve biturbo engine has been increased from the standard 3982 cm³ to 4407 cm³.

To do this, the eight cylinder bores are enlarged to 84 millimeters and then suitable forged pistons and high-performance connecting rods are installed. A special crankshaft milled from solid and finely balanced extends the stroke to exactly 100 millimeters. In order to achieve the performance increase of 212 kW / 288 hp compared to the 450 kW / 612 hp series engine, the charging system was also redesigned. The two BRABUS special turbochargers with a larger compressor unit and a special core assembly with reinforced axial bearings produce a maximum boost pressure of 1,4 bar. Two BRABUS BoostXtra valves provide an exciting blow-off noise during load changes.

Visible carbon air intakes left and right

Since such a powerful power plant also needs more air to breathe, visible carbon air intakes are integrated into the left and right of the radiator grille. In line with this, the fuel supply is also modified with three special high-pressure pumps. The V8 is optically fine-tuned with the BRABUS 900 engine cover in visible red carbon.

The exhaust side is upgraded with special downpipes with a diameter of 76 millimeters and metal catalytic converters. The BRABUS stainless steel high-performance exhaust system with exhaust flap control for active sound management is just as important for optimal performance development. At the push of a button, you can choose between the whispering "Coming home" mode and the earthy, thoroughbred V8 sound when the "Sport" option is activated. The four BRABUS tailpipes in carbon/titanium combination are also an absolute treat to look at.

EURO 6D ISC-FCM emission standard fulfilled

The BRABUS engine and electronics engineers undertook extensive tests with the most modern test benches and extensive test drives in order to perfectly coordinate all high-performance components and the engine electronics. This not only benefits the enormous power of the engine, the precisely programmed maps also serve to meet the strict EURO 6D ISC-FCM emissions standard.

This enormous effort also ensures the proverbial reliability of a BRABUS engine, which is of course underpinned by the BRABUS tuning guarantee over 3 years up to 100 kilometers (according to the BRABUS guarantee conditions, as of July 000). The high-tech lubricants for the entire drive train are supplied by technology partner MOTUL.

The performance values of the BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK are outstanding: The peak output of 6200 kW / 662 hp is reached at just 900 rpm. Equally unique is the enormous maximum torque of 1250 Nm, which is already available at 2900 tours. In order to protect the power transmission, this output is electronically limited to 1050 Nm in the vehicle. The all-wheel drive supercar thus achieves driving performance like a thoroughbred sports car: the SUV, which weighs around 2,6 tons, catapults itself from a standstill to 3,6 km/h in just 100 seconds. The top speed is electronic, depending on the selected wheel/tire combination limited to 310 or 330 km/h. Furthermore, the five-door fascinates with its outstanding acceleration at any speed.

everything is adapted to the enormous power

Of course, the aerodynamics, tires and chassis are also adapted to the enormous performance potential of the BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK. The designers of the Bottrop-based refiner developed body components made of visible carbon that are as sporty and elegant as they are precisely fitting, which not only make the SUV look sportier, but are also aerodynamically efficient. The BRABUS front spoiler, which is attached to the lower part of the apron, not only gives the SUV an even more striking face. Thanks to its sophisticated shape, the aerodynamic part reduces lift on the front axle at high speeds, which leads to further improved driving stability.

The side air inlets in the front bumper are upgraded with tailor-made air ducts. The BRABUS air intakes in the radiator grille are just as much part of the exciting look as an illuminated BRABUS emblem and white signature stripes, which contrast with the black SUPERBLACK outfit, as well as the BRABUS nameplates in a contrasting color on the rear and sides of the supercar. The wheel arches are designed with tailor-made BRABUS carbon fiber attachments, just as sportier as the rear with the BRABUS diffuser insert, which perfectly sets the scene for the four BRABUS tailpipes of the sports exhaust. The BRABUS roof spoiler made of PUR-R-Rim is painted black.

BRABUS Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" 24 inch

In the largest variant, the forged BRABUS Monoblock Z "PLATINUM EDITION" 24-inch wheels perfectly fill the available space in the supercar's wheel arches. Through the use of CAD technology and state-of-the-art manufacturing processes, these wheels, which appear even larger due to their ten spokes reaching to the edge of the rim, offer a perfect combination of lightweight construction and strength. BRABUS technology partner Continental supplies the right high-performance tires for these high-tech wheels. 10Jx24 rims with 295/35 R 24 tires are used at the front. On the rear axle there are twelve-inch wide wheels with 335/30 R 24 tires. These tires make it necessary to electronically limit the top speed to 310 km/h. If you choose the optionally available BRABUS 23-inch wheel set, the tires allow a V/max increase to 330 km/h.

In order to further optimize the handling and make it even safer and at the same time to give the car a sportier look by lowering it, the tuner's chassis engineers developed a special control module for the air suspension. It lowers the BRABUS 900 SUPERBLACK by about 25 millimeters compared to the base car. BRABUS interior design has been another domain of the German dream factory for decades. The in-house upholstery shop also created an exclusive and comfortable BRABUS MASTERPIECE interior for the new supercar, which is processed with the highest precision. Matching the body paint finish, the cockpit is dominated by particularly soft and skin-friendly black leather, which is complemented by areas covered with Alcantara, such as the headliner.

shell-shaped quilting on the seats

This classy interior also demonstrates the upholstery design with the great attention to detail that goes into the BRABUS upholstery shop: A typical example of this is the precise shell-shaped quilting of the seat surfaces and the inner parts of the door panels. These leather sections are also perforated with millimeter precision. The floor of the vehicle cabin and the entire trunk were also quilted in the same design. Elements with an embossed "1977" logo, such as the sun visors, are reminiscent of BRABUS' founding year 77.

The exclusive interior of the new supercar also includes numerous sporty carbon elements: parts of the steering wheel rim are made from this compound, as are the covers on the dashboard, the door panels and the center console. Elegant door sill trims on the four doors and the tailgate also set attractive accents with a BRABUS logo that changes color in line with the ambient interior lighting. Matching the cockpit, which is kept entirely in black, all controls, ventilation nozzles, loudspeaker grilles and covers have been glazed in matt Shadow Chrome. Sporty BRABUS accessories in the interior are the black glazed shift paddles, pedals and aluminum door-lock pins.
