He is extremely rare and, even under 7 years after his presentation, an absolute eye-catcher. We are talking about the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG (In-house C 197, Roadster R 197) which was presented to the public for the first time at the IAA in September 2009 and then went on sale on March 27, 2010. The showpiece (next to the Black Series) was the one presented in November 2013 GT Final Edition with which the production of the Mercedes SLS AMG expired in June 2014 (Only the GT3 will be produced until this year). And the tuner Heasman Steering from Australia currently had just such a 571PS strong SLS Roadster on site and gave the Stuttgart-based Brabus aerodynamics package that subtly underlines the elegant lines of the SLS without being too prominent. The carbon body kit consists of a front spoiler for the front bumper, new side skirts, a discreet diffuser for the rear bumper and a spoiler lip for the trunk lid. In addition, the tuner lowered the SLS a few millimeters and thus ensures a subtle look that still clearly does not match the series. If you have a coupe that costs at least € 186.830,00, you should lend a hand as much as I think, if at all.

In my opinion, components that replace the entire bumper, or huge 22 inch drop center rims or a GT3 style rear wing on the SLS are absolutely out of place and would only unnecessarily strain the ex-factory, extremely sporty silhouette. The Heasman Steering Team published the AMG the days and we are of course pleased to be able to show you the pictures. After the subtle tuning cure that the SLS Coupe was allowed to endure, it is now visually more individual and dynamic than the production version without being exaggerated or even chubby.

So if you have been secretly thinking of buying a sporty SLS for a long time or are even happy owners, Heasman Steering is definitely an interesting starting point when it comes to differentiating the vehicle from the production model. And for all those who are not necessarily based in Australia, the vehicle may serve as a tuning template for the local tuning partner. After all, the Brabus parts come from Germany and can be ordered by anyone.
