Exactly one week ago we informed you that the South African tuner RACE! South Africa under the label "BRABUS by RACE!"Now completely rebuilt Brabus vehicle on its feet. The first project was a 600 PS AMG GT which received the complete Brabus makeover and now it is a GLE63 AMG (C292) presented on the company's website. This vehicle has also received almost everything that Brabus has in its range, we are only unsure about the performance. On the one hand, it could Variant 700 - 5.5 Biturbo be with 700 hp, but on the other hand also the 850 - 6.0 biturbo conversion. In this regard, we hope to get some information later. Irrespective of this, the look is identical, because the body kit is the same for both performance variants.

The Brabus aerodynamic components in chic carbon fiber were installed in this vehicle and they come, for example, with a front spoiler lip including side wings and additional frames for the air intakes of the front bumper. The radiator grille is also new and comes with a large Brabus emblem and it continues with filigree side skirts and a modified rear apron with carbon panels. It also has a sporty diffuser insert including a central rear fog light and makes the rear look very distinctive. There is also the Brabus emblem instead of the Mercedes star and the taillights have also been changed.

These are much darker than the standard parts and we assume that you have used here simply colored clear coat and glazed the tail lights. Under no circumstances conceivable in Germany, with high probability no problem in South Africa. And of course there was also a new wheelset. The shiny black BRABUS monoblock "PLATINUM EDITION" forged wheel is installed in the dimensions 11Jx23 inches with huge Continental Sport Contact 6 tires in XXL format 335/30 ZR23 on the rear axle and 295/35 ZR23 slippers at the front. Using the BRABUS control module for the AIRMATIC air suspension, the tuner achieves a lowering of around 35 millimeters and the wheelset sits perfectly in the wheel arch.

Of course, a powerful-sounding sports exhaust system should not be missing and RACE is installed here! the Brabus system with metal catalysts (stainless steel) and exhaust flap control as well as active sound management, which can be controlled at the push of a button on the steering wheel. On the other hand, we have few pictures and information about the interior. Apart from the illuminated BRABUS door sills, we can't see any changes compared to the series and maybe the inside of the GLE is almost series. Optionally, however, this is not a problem for BRABUS, because the tuner from Bottrop can also refine the cabin down to the last corner if desired.

The GLE63 AMG is rounded off with completely darkened windows all around, which according to German legislation, like the glazed taillights, we are probably never legally allowed to own. If we still get details on the increase in performance or the changes in the interior, there is of course, as always, an update for this report. These are the changes to the Mercedes GLE63 AMG:

  • possibly the Brabus performance increase to 515kW / 700PS or 625 kW / 850 PS (information is missing) - this is achieved by changing the intake and charge air pipes, BRABUS special turbochargers, larger downpipes, Brabus software, etc.)
  • Brabus port exhaust system with metal catalytic converters (stainless steel) and exhaust flap control as well as active sound management at the push of a button on the steering wheel
  • Carbon aerodynamic components (front spoiler lip, side air intakes in the front bumper, rear apron with carbon fiber panels, diffuser insert with LED fog light, rear spoiler)
  • BRABUS alloy wheels in 23 inch (BRABUS monoblock "PLATINUM EDITION" high-tech forged wheels in 11Jx23 inch)
  • High-performance tires from Continental
  • Lowering with BRABUS control module for AIRMATIC air suspension (lowering approx. 35 millimeters)
