Every BRABUS Supercar stands for special driving pleasure through superior performance. The BRABUS Ultimate E facelift city sports car is no exception. In order to achieve a significant increase in dynamics, the BRABUS engineers, technicians and programmers developed an increase in performance for the three-phase synchronous motor of the smart fortwo EQ cabrio from model year 2020. To do this, they used the know-how of BRABUS ZERO EMISSION, the division that started in 2008, who has since been involved in the development of alternative drive concepts. The BRABUS PowerXtra Performance Upgrade for the electric drive of the BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift includes a newly calibrated torque control, special modules for vehicle dynamics switches and accelerator pedals as well as a special gateway. Thanks to the perfect synchronization of all these modifications, the reserves that are in the factory in this electric drive are released.

The "driving fun switch" in the cockpit enables the driver to choose between four different driving modes. Level 1 corresponds to the standard electric motor of the current smart EQ fortwo. The "Eco" level increases recuperation, which means that the two-seater brakes much more strongly when you step on the gas than in the series. Level 3 stands for "sport". The accelerator pedal thus reacts more spontaneously and recuperation is reduced to the standard level. The BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift unleashes maximum dynamism in the “Sport +” program: Here, the peak power has been increased to 68 kW / 92 PS, the maximum torque increases to 180 Nm, an impressive 20 Nm more than in the series. In this mode, the driver is not only pleased with the even more lively electric drive, but also with the even more direct response to the accelerator pedal.

The mileage effortlessly lives up to the goal of being an exclusive city sports car: the BRABUS two-seater sprints from 10,9-0 km / h in “Sport +” in just 100 seconds with almost no noise. The top speed remains limited to 130 km / h. In addition to the impressive performance on the road, the exclusive city sports car also offers maximum environmental compatibility as it is CO2-neutral. Following its purpose as an agile city car, the BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift achieves a range of up to 125 kilometers with one battery charge, depending on the driving style. But the agile two-door car is not only convincing due to its ecological and agile drive: it is also an eye-catcher par excellence! The smallest BRABUS supercar owes this to its WIDESTAR body, which is reserved exclusively for the vehicles of the limited BRABUS Ultimate special series. Upon request, there are also individual special paints according to the wishes of the buyer.

The face of the BRABUS Ultimate E Facelift is shaped by the BRABUS WIDESTAR front apron newly modeled for the smart fortwo of model year 2020. The two-seater looks particularly sporty due to its optics with large indicated air intakes on the left and right. The WIDESTAR body also includes fender flares on the front and rear axles. They create space for 18-inch wheels tailored to this vehicle. Their format is extremely exceptional for an electric car of this size. Thanks to their elaborate production using high-tech forging technology, the BRABUS Monoblock Y rims with nine filigree spokes that run out to the outer rim in the shape of an "Ypsilon" are particularly light. With a weight of just 6,7 kg in the front and 7,1 kg for a rear wheel, they are among the lightest 18 inch wheels on the market worldwide.

The BRABUS WIDESTAR body enables 7Jx18 wheels with 205/35 R 18 high-performance tires to be mounted on the front axle. There is even space for eight-inch rims with 235/30 R 18 tires under the widenings on the rear axle. With this combination, particularly agile and safe handling is achieved. A large part of this is also due to the sporty, comfortable BRABUS suspension, which has been precisely matched to the important parameters of weight of the electric car, ultra-flat tires and the wider track. The BRABUS WIDESTAR creates an optimal transition between the wider fenders on the front and rear axles with precisely matching side skirts. The rear of the wide version is particularly sporty thanks to a diffuser specially developed for the electric car. The black show car for Geneva has red accents on the body, in accordance with the dynamic principle of this supercar, on the central spoiler sword, on the side skirts and on the rear diffuser.

The BRABUS Ultimate E facelift city sports car naturally also includes an exclusively designed cockpit, which is tailored to the wishes of the future vehicle owner down to the last detail in the in-house upholstery shop. Like every BRABUS fine leather interior, the cockpit of the two-seater is a perfect example of an ideal combination of fascinating design, masterful workmanship and high-quality materials. The interior of the show car at the Geneva Motor Show 2020 is padded with black, particularly soft and breathable BRABUS mastik leather. Matching the accents on the body, there are precise decorative seams in bright red. The seats and inner parts of the two door panels are also stitched with millimeter accuracy in the honeycomb pattern.
