Ford Bronco Desert Runner with V8 power for the 2021 SEMA!

The has been running since yesterday 2021 SEMA auto show and manufacturers from all over the world vie for the attention of visitors with sometimes completely crazy concepts. And of course is too Ford with it. And they have that for it Bronco dr (Dessert runner) brought along. And that means you are in no way inferior to the competition. Stellantis, for example, has brought seven cool concept vehicles (Jeep, RAM, Dodge etc.) and Chevrolet also mixes with one "ElectricalBeast" with 650 hp right at the front. But we believe Ford trumps everyone else. The manufacturer has at least forty vehicles brought to SEMA and one of them is the 2023 Bronco DR as a tribute to the racing legacy of the Bronco brand and the overall victory in the Baja 1000 in 1969. And in complete contrast to the Chevy Beast, the Jeep M725 or the RAM TRX RexRunner, the Bronco DR is a production vehicle. And it's designed in such a way that it can get as far off-road as a car can get. And pretty quickly too!

Under the hood of the new Bronco DR - or "Desert Runner" - a mighty one works 5,0 liter Coyote V8 you can find it with more than 400 PS. It sends its power to all four wheels, which with a mighty 37 inches (0,94 m) BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T / A KM3 Off-road tires (37 × 12,5R17) Beadlock wheels are equipped. In fact, it's the most expensive Bronco ever, priced at over $ 200.000. And for this amount there is in the Fiberglass racing body not even doors, there is no windshield and air conditioning is out of the question. However, we believe that anyone interested in a Bronco DR will certainly not worry about that. Since the information that the off-roader should be violent 2.948 kg. weighs in 10R80 gearbox owns and up to 65 gallons (245 liters) of fuel can carry, probably more interesting. And the fact that it can be brought directly to the Baja 1000 for use on the day of delivery is certainly not unimportant.

Deliveries from the end of 2022

Incidentally, the base is a four-door Bronco and one is included Off-road chassis with Multimatic Positional Selective DSSV ™ dampers (Suspension travel on the front axle approx. 40 cm / rear approx. 44 cm) and also a Multimatic safety cage is built in. Ford says they want to build 50 vehicles for now to measure customer demand. Only then should the correct series production start. According to Ford, the Bronco DR will be delivered from the end of 2022. But don't forget, the DR is for off-road - and only for offroad - thought. It is closed on public roads 100% illegal.
