It's hard to believe that after just two years of construction, Mercedes is taking the X-Class (W 470) off the market again. Especially with regard to the top model with OM 642-Six cylinder as X350d 4Matic and strong 258 HP and 550 Nm we would have given the Mercedes another chance with the open loading area. On the other hand, the pricing, especially with regard to the x350d, was also partly excessive. No wonder that many have opted for the technically identical Nissan Navara, which is sometimes more than a quarter cheaper. But this copy from the German tuner Extreme Customs Germany nevertheless makes the farewell difficult. It impressively shows how chic the X-Class can look, especially with some modifications.

The joint venture between ECG and the Mercedes-Benz partner Emil Frey Mainfranken GmbH lets the thought of an X63 AMG with V8 BiTurbo arise. The snow-white specimen would definitely have the optical appearance. The X350d under the project name "Xtreme Class" is namely equipped with an air suspension and has also received fat fender flares and new aluminum. The result is an extremely dynamic appearance for the Mercedes pick-up. The widebody body kit, which also includes modified aprons front and rear, was developed by the team Car Perner brought to the body from Gerolzhofen and then painted in body color. And if you are wondering where you have seen the components before, we have the solution: The body kit is that Prior Design PD550 kit that was introduced in 2018. The installed air suspension, however, comes from null bar, has Bilstein dampers and can be adjusted up or down at the push of a button using the Airlift 3P control.

up or down?

And based on the widened fenders, the new wheelset is also befitting. The choice fell on high-quality two-part AMP 10VT Forged forged rims that fill the wheel arches of the W 11 in the format 22 x 305 inches with Michelin Pilot Sport slippers in the dimensions 35/470. And finally, you even buttoned up the V6 turbo. Using chip tuning from Wetterau Engineering the output of the 3-liter V6 increases from 258 hp and 550 Nm torque to a remarkable 303 horses and a maximum of 655 Nm. You can do it! If we receive timely information on further changes to the X350d from Extreme Customs Germany, there is of course an update for this report.
