The Bugatti Baby II arrived in Southern California just in time for Christmas and is celebrating its premiere in North America. At the Geneva Motor Show 2019, Bugatti announced that it would breathe new life into the original Bugatti Bébé from 1926. Since its market launch, the car, which is based on the Type 35, has attracted international attention due to its exquisite, modern technology combined with authentic borrowings from the original.
Bugatti Baby II now in North America!
As part of the presentation, the Bugatti Baby II drove on the historic race track of the renowned Willow Springs International Raceway. There, a lucky few had the opportunity to drive a vehicle in the “Blanc Vitesse” variant in the non-regulated “Speed Key” mode. The Bugatti Baby II will be on display in the showrooms of Bugatti dealer partners Bugatti Newport Beach and Bugatti Beverly Hills until December. Along with The Little Car Company Bugatti will produce a total of 500 copies of the Type 35 on a 3: 4 scale. While the majority of the vehicles have already been sold, a few are still reserved for Bugatti customers and will be awarded on the first-come-first-served principle.
Vehicle based on E-platform with rear-wheel drive
The Bugatti Baby II is designed in such a way that several generations of collectors and car enthusiasts can enjoy it. The vehicle is based on an electric platform with rear-wheel drive and offers battery options for short and long distances, with which - depending on the driving style - a range of up to approx. 50 kilometers can be achieved. Owners will enjoy the combination of authentic Type 35 handling and modern, technological elements like regenerative braking, adjustable dampers and the famous Bugatti Speed Key, which allows drivers to reach the top speed of up to 70 km / h.
three versions of the Bugatti Baby II
The Bugatti Baby II is available in three versions: the basic model for USD 36.600 (EUR 30.000), the Vitesse for USD 53.000 (EUR 43.500) and the Pur Sang with its handcrafted aluminum body for USD 71.400 (EUR 58.500). The base model is available in French Racing Blue with a black leather interior, while a range of classic colors are available for the Vitesse and Pur Sang, paying homage to Bugatti's unforgettable racing paintwork and drivers of the past. A modern palette of colors is also available for these two models, which are offered for the Chiron1, so that customers can adapt their new Bugatti Baby II to their current vehicle.
