Pay tribute to the EB110 - 1.600 PS Bugatti Centodieci

The absolute hammer! Actually, we thought that Bugatti currently not really interested in the time under Romano Artioli in the 1990er years. But Artioli had laid the foundation for the brand's impressive comeback with the EB110. And now in Pebble Beach Bugatti has presented the new Centodieci based on the Chiron and thus a wonderful tribute to the EB110. The Centodieci is a kind of reinterpretation of the legend that existed as the EB 110 GT (GT for Gran Turismo) and the weight- and performance-optimized variant EB 110 SS (SS for Super Sport). Bugatti quotes with the new Centodieci the former super sports car of the 1990er years perfectly. The EB110 stood and stands as an extremely flat, wedge-shaped and graphically quasi two-dimensional supersporter. It has now skillfully brought the classic look in the new millennium without copying them. But there was a subtle increase in performance to 1.600 hp and an almost completely new design. Nevertheless, it unmistakably shows the rear light elements based on the EB 110. And as back then, the four-fold charged 16-cylinder of the Centodieci is presented behind a pane of glass. Once, however, a 12-cylinder V-engine with five valves per cylinder and a maximum of 611 PS & 650 NM was sufficient. Now eight liters of displacement and 1.176 kW / 1.600 PS roar to the attack. It goes from 0 to 100 km / h in 2,4 seconds and the 200 km / h mark is broken in 6,1 seconds. The super sports car needs only 300 seconds to reach 13,1 km / h. Only the top speed is this time limited to "only" 380 km / h. The curb weight is almost unchanged.

But the Chiron saves the Centodieci after all 20 kilograms. This is made possible by a lighter windscreen wiper and stabilizers made of carbon. In addition very delicate exterior mirrors. The result is a spectacular power-to-weight ratio of 1,13 kilograms per horsepower and the fact that this bullet will probably only be seen from behind. And then you see a stern like a spaceship that is shaped by the 8 taillights, matt anodized tailpipes and the brutal diffuser. In addition, the new rear wing based on the EB 110 SS is mechanically adjustable in the angle of attack. The Centodieci's photo vehicle featured on the exclusive The Quail at Pebble Beach and is painted white. The deliveries will only start in just under two years and the price is at least eight million euros as high as never before.
