A Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport based on a 2004 Pontiac GTO? There is. If too without the possibility of opening the roof. And it was recently for sale at a price of 150.000 euros. According to the ad, which has just been cleared, the vehicle has "a beautiful custom interior and looks like a real one". And according to the seller "the conversion not only looks like it, it also sounds like a real Bugatti". Whether a tuned Pontiac GTO with a little attention to detail and a complex conversion can actually keep the promises is more than questionable. The one-off was probably rebuilt by a company with a name that no longer exists Santana Innovative Design.
quite successful Bugatti Veyron replica
The design of the replica is apparently based on the Grand Sport, which cannot exactly be said of the drive of the Bugatti Veyron replica. The original GTO LS1 engine (V8) with a displacement of 5,6 liters and 354 hp (260 kW) is still installed. How it should sound like a sixteen-cylinder (W16) remains a secret. The engine is coupled to a four-speed automatic transmission, and the "power" goes to the rear wheels. That's all there is to it 5 seconds go from zero to 100 km/h (Bugatti = 2,5 seconds) and the top speed of the GTO is over 240 km/h (Bugatti = +400 km/h). And inside? You can see who the role model was, but nothing more. The vehicle is exactly the way it fits perfectly into our tuning fail category. Photo credit: vorl1000 via eBay
We know of course that "Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder". However, we have examined the vehicle extensively and have come to the conclusion that it definitely belongs in our tuning fail category because WE do not consider it beautiful. What is your opinion about this? Beautiful or not so beautiful? Please leave a comment here!
Of course, that wasn't the end of it!
