Buick Regal GS with airbrush hood and race style!

The Buick Regal GS, in this country as Vauxhall Insignia Grand Sport known, is probably the last joint product from the GM-Opel marriage, which lasted almost 100 years. Buick still belongs to General Motors, and will probably make common cause with Chevrolet on the successor to the model, and thus distance itself from Opel. Unfortunately, we don't know exactly what the future of the Buick Regal or the Opel Insignia will look like, but we can take a look into the crystal ball and say that these two combustion models will be replaced by E-models, which are technical and optically save similarities own more, as they are now being developed by different corporations. But until then it will be a while, which is why we are now one modified copy a Buick Regal GS, which is doing its rounds in China, a little more precisely.

The first thing to fall is the orange one foiling on, which also has a specially made hood with air intakes features in muscle car style. These ensure that not only does the optics look much nastier, but that the engine receives plenty of cooling air so that there is no risk of overheating at high speeds. A subtle one Lowering and black alloy wheels in five-spoke design, which probably come from the OEM shelf of Buick / GM, give the Buick Regal GS a sporty character. And the red calipers the retrofitted Brembo brakes attract more attention on the road. The Exterior mirror caps were kept in silver, and are thus reminiscent of the S models from Audi, which also have the color scheme.

From our point of view, the retrofitted ones are somewhat unnecessary, but quite practical wind deflector on the side windows, which unfortunately look inharmonious, and give the Buick a somewhat tinkered look. The rear, on the other hand, is harmoniously modified, and the black diffuser integrates perfectly into the body, just like the black one Spoiler lip on the tailgate. The absolute highlight of the car, however, cannot be left unmentioned, namely that Airbrush picture on the inside of the bonnet, which represents the "Joker" from the Hollywood film of the same name. Together with the font and the number 86, which incidentally has no meaning, the painting looks very successful, and brings out the evil side of the Buick Regal a little.

2-liter turbo gasoline engine does its job.

A 2-liter turbo gasoline engine also acts as the drive source 261 hp and 350 Newton meters of maximum torque. The engine is linked to a 9-speed automatic transmission, transfers its power to all four wheels, and accelerates the car to highway speed in a brisk 7,2 seconds. The guns have to be the oiled Blitz, which is actually a Buick, first 240 km/h stretch, which means that brisk sections of the motorway can be tackled effortlessly.

Our conclusion on this Buick Regal GS:

The vehicle makes a successful appearance, and the "Joker" on the underside of the bonnet is of course an eye-catcher. We are impressed with the ideas that auto tuning brings up.
