Video: The American Dream - the longest car in the world has been restored!

In 2020 we announced that the longest car in the world, a Cadillac Eldorado, is being restored. And in Florida. The XXXXXXXXL Eldorado originally built in Burbank in 1986 by customizer Jay Ohrberg as a so-called "The American Dream" is a super stretch sedan made up of six Cadillac Eldorados that sat behind a warehouse in New Jersey for many years and was actually scrapped. But now the world's longest car has been completed and the restoration completed. And it's looking better than ever. The car collector bought the unique car Michael dezer from central Florida and he also funded the restoration of the "The American Dream“ and with it the reconstruction. The 1976 Eldorado was transported to Orlando in two pieces and from there Dezer, Manning, and their teams worked together to rebuild the vehicle from the ground up.

"The American Dream"

The restoration included a complete overhaul of the Body, a complete restoration from Interior, a Engine conversion and various changes to theSwimming pool with diving board", to the "miniature golf course" and the "Whirlpool". According to Guinness World Records, the restoration – including transport – cost Dezer and his team around 250.000 US Dollars. But it was worth it!

The vehicle is now drivable again and now even measures 100 feet (approx. 30 m) and 1,5 inches (approx. 4 cm) overall length. In order to Bricht you even beat the previous record he set in 1986. The total length is distributed 26 wheels, two V8 engines (one in front and one behind) and in an emergency can up to 75 people be transported. In addition to some of the highlights already mentioned, the Caddy has another water bed, a Billiard table and even a working one Helipad included. The latter is structurally attached to the vehicle with steel brackets underneath and can support up to five thousand pounds.

Although the “The American Dream“ fully drivable, but that it is simply too long to be on public roads, that should go without saying. However, it will serve as a future exhibit for the Dezerland Park Automobile Museum outside of Orlando, Florida. And as for the future of the vehicle, they even seem keen to move on and "Eventually extend further.“ Maybe then with our own gas station! hp There is an XXL picture gallery at the end of the post.
