Chevrolet brought along a brand new V2-LS8 crate engine two weeks ago 7-liter displacement presented as a suction cup, and now there is an LT5 engine with Katech tuning, including a compressor. And of course we don't want to withhold information about the Katech LT4 / LT5 engine from you. The engine is basically the V8 from the C7 Corvette ZR1, which, however, has been optimized again with high-quality ingredients from the tuner Katech. Available as "Katech Track Attack LT5 Crate Engine“There is nothing left of the former 755 HP (563 KW), the engine now delivers a whopping 40% more. KAtech specifies the V8 with 1.159 PS (864 kW) and a huge 1.440 NM torque.
Magnuson's TBVS 2560 compressor
A crazy increase in performance over the series. The upgrade is achieved by means of Magnuson's TBVS 2560 compressor, CNC cylinder head, more displacement and the compression has been increased to 10,3: 1 (series 10,1: 1). There are also new pistons and connecting rods, a different camshaft, improved wet sump lubrication and the valves no longer have anything to do with the series, but come directly from racing. Typically Crate Engine, the Katech LT4 / LT5 engine is of course only intended for competition vehicles "outside" public roads.
