Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is one of the best-known American tuners, especially when it comes to tuning General Motors vehicles such as the Chevrolet Camaro and of course the Corvette. Strangely enough, Lingenfelter has been quite cautious about the C8 Vette so far. Until now! Now the Michigan-based company has chased a C8 across the track and announced that it will soon be announcing the first details of its new tuning program for the C8.

Corvette C8 in Sebring Orange

We are still waiting for "official details" from the tuning program, but the teaser video of the development car at the Pittsburgh International Race Complex in Wampum suggests an accessory exhaust system. The video shows a C8 in Sebring Orange with Corsa manifolds, Corsa exhaust system, Carbon Design Performance intake, new alloy wheels from the Vossen Evo series with Continental Extreme Contact tires and a carbon body kit is also installed. It consists of a front splitter and a rear wing. It is still unclear whether Lingenfelter was able to decipher the control unit from the 6,2-liter LT2-V8 for chip tuning.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
