Pour and Forge are two completely different processes in the cycling industry! A forged wheel is usually much lighter, more stable, of higher quality but also more expensive. But especially the lower weight reduces this rotating masses clearly, and partly ensures extremely improved acceleration times. And with the mid-engine Corvette, this is done by rims from the tuner Callaway particularly clearly visible. They are stately ones 23 percent lighter than the OEM rims. And they're also a bit wider than the originals. The rims weigh 9,2 kg (20,2 pounds) at the front and 10,7 kg (23,6 pounds) at the rear. They measure 19 x 9,0 inches with an ET46 on the front axle and 20 x 11,5 inches with an ET58 on the rear axle.

About Thomas Wachsmuth

Thomas Wachsmuth - He has been an integral part of tuningblog.eu since 2013. His passion for cars is so intense that he invests every available penny in them. While he dreams of a BMW E31 850CSI and a Hennessey 6x6 Ford F-150, he currently drives a rather inconspicuous BMW 540i (G31/LCI). His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
