Video: Soundcheck - Corvette C8 with straight pipe exhaust

A current C8 Chevrolet Corvette with one Straight pipe (quasi just a continuous tube) sounds absolutely breathtaking as we think. And this example with the well-known 6,2-liter V8 vacuum is the ultimate example. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is from the YouTuber 650ib and extremely loud. In addition, the Vette is wrapped in a matt red and equipped with the mentioned aftermarket exhaust system. Incidentally, it comes from the tuner Fabspeed and has installed a flap control with remote control. This system can be used to set how loud the exhaust should be during operation. According to Fabspeed, the flap exhaust system saves approx. 9 kg compared to the series and increases the torque "at the wheels“By 4 HP and 8 Nm. Not bad for an exhaust system.

Corvette C8 (2020+) | Fabspeed Sport catalyst, valve system, Kooks manifold

The following Fabspeed C8 Corvette has Kooks manifolds and the OEM catalytic converters have been replaced by 200-cell sport cats. The series here has 700 cells and thus significantly less passage. The catalytic converters have a Kevlar cover and can withstand a maximum of 1.200 degrees Celsius. They are 4 kg lighter than the OEM parts and Fabspeed guarantees that the error codes P420 and P430 will not appear after installation. The upgrade provides additional 6 PS and 8 NM torque compared to the Stingray with the Z51 package. In addition, the well-known Maxflo exhaust system with flap function is installed, which is even a whopping 9 kg lighter. Here Fabspeed even speaks of an additional 11,5 PS and a maximum of 20 NM. The system comes in a 3,0-inch format and is of course made of stainless steel. In combination with Kook's stainless steel exhaust manifolds, even further 20 HP and 35 NM torque are possible.
