The C-Class of the W 205 series is on its last legs. The bestseller from Mercedes will appear as a new generation (W 206) when the model changes next year, with an upgrade that appears to be very manageable from the outside. The previous Erlkönige show that when it comes to design and dimensions, they remain true to themselves. Inside, however, the signs point to change more clearly. Because after the A-Class, the C-Class will also have an extremely digital cockpit. There is a huge screen in the center console, which is seamlessly connected to a switch bar in the lower area for operating the air conditioning functions, and the instrument cluster is also digital. The design is based on the current digital cockpit of the S- and E-Class, but not quite as broad. The new four-cylinder M254 petrol engine with a particle filter is working under the bonnet, and the OM 654 diesel generation should also last a long time into the future and make the W206 fit for Euro 7. A plug-in hybrid with a purely electric range of 70 kilometers according to WLTP also appears to be planned, and a 48-volt electrical system with a boost function is installed in all models.
Mercedes-AMG C63s Coupe on Ferrada's
There are all characteristics that the W 205 cannot offer. But it can still offer an extremely sporty look, especially as the C63 AMG. And the US rim specialists at Ferrada Wheels have now placed a 2018 AMG C63 S on beautiful CM2 rims in brushed copper with a polished bronze lip. The wheel set fills the wheel arches in the 9 x 20 inch format at the front and a mighty 10,5 x 20 inch at the rear. Just right for the 510 hp coupe. With a subtle lowering, black darkened windows and no chrome on the vehicle, the changes are impressively rounded off. The conversion is staged in the following video.
