As a former owner of a Cadillac CTS-V, I can definitely say that a 6,2 liter supercharged engine with standard 564PS goes like hell. Mine with 640PS at that time was definitely enough for me, but why not just drive with double? Hennessey shows how civilly you can pack over 1240PS.

John Hennessey wants to prove it to everyone! Based on the Cadillac CTS-V, the tuner presented its interpretation of doping. The CTS-V with the abbreviation VR1200 sports a 7-liter V8 with two huge turbochargers under the lightweight carbon bonnet.
When these two turbochargers develop full power, more than 1240PS fly to the "rear wheels"! Hennessey has also built in the ability to move the CTS-V with civilian 800Ps. This was realized by a boost controller that throttles the performance of the Über-Coupé.
The conversion of the engine was of course not only accomplished with two new turbochargers but it needs something more. Almost from the cylinder head down the V8 was changed: intake, cooling system, clutch and gearbox were completely rebuilt.
In the end, 1200PS's powerful engine powers 1080PS on the two rear wheels. The data of the CTS-V read impressively. The acceleration of 0-100km / h is done in 2,9 seconds, just under 390km / h top bring the CTS-V in the category of a Bugatti Veyron.
Hennessey has missed the CTS-V a carbon spoiler to keep the load tidy and manoeuvrable. Anyone interested in a Hennessey CTS-V will probably have to look around the used car market because the CTS-V was built only 12 and came on the market just under 2 years ago.
