In the segment of the particularly sporty sedans one can the Cadillac CTS-V quite as Underdog describe. Apart from a bonnet with a discreet power dome + air opening and a few details in the aprons and a spoiler lip on the tailgate, there is hardly anything that makes the difference to a "normal" CTS. An Audi RS6 with the significantly thicker cheeks all around, or a BMW M5 F90, is thicker than we think. And that regardless of the fact, that, at least on the paper, the CTS-V presented in 2015, after the Dodge Charger Hellcat, is still currently the most powerful series-produced mid-size sedan ever. Impressive 649 PS & 855 NM ensure that it goes to 3,7 km / h in just 100 seconds and that the thrust continues unabated up to 320 km / h.

However, various comparisons show that the CTS-V fails to keep up with the M5 F90, the Mercedes AMG E63S, a Porsche Panamera Turbo S or the brand new AMG GT 4 door. While the Germans are almost equal here, the CTS-V falls well clear back. Only the RS6 Avant, the AMI can easily drive away. And visually, the newer vehicles from German production sit down so slowly but surely from the Ami. The design just looks fresher and the technology has evolved. This looks quite different with the copy from the rim manufacturer Ferrada Wheels was presented a few days ago. Here is the look dewy! The absolute highlight, of course, is the new forged wheel set from Ferrada Wheels. Specifically, it is the type FR2 we so similar on 2017 Nissan Maxima , or Audi Sportback A7 have seen.

On the CTS-V built the wheelset in Kingsize format 22 inches and provides, in combination with a significant lowering by means of ridetech-airride air suspension, for a very sporty appearance. The classic silver-painted alloy wheels with chromed rim beds fit perfectly with the dark gray livery of the CTS-V and also provide a view of the huge sports brake system with its yellow painted calipers. The exact dimensions are at the front 22 x 9,5 inches and rear axle equipped with significantly wider 22 x 11 inches. And also on the body something has happened. The CTS-V got a striking aerodynamic package that features distinctive front splitter, side skirts (so-called sill swords) and a particularly aggressive rear diffuser.

The highlight here is in any case the huge duck-tail spoiler lip which, like the front splitter, is held by two additional struts. In addition, there was apparently also a sports exhaust system and some modifications to the engine. Unfortunately, information is currently not available. Small details such as the all-round darkened windows or the Blackline Package complete the appearance perfectly. If we get more detailed information about the Airride, the exhaust system or a possible increase in performance, there is of course an update for this report.
