Until 2008, the term SUV caused confusion at the small series manufacturer RUF. But in 2009, the Porsche refiner caused a real surprise and presented its first modified SUV at the Geneva Motor Show. Namely the Call Dakara based on the Cayenne of the first 7PA series, which had been on the market for almost 9 years. The Dakara was described by Ruf as "Ultimate High Luxury SUV“ and had the headlights from the 911 (997) installed in the front as the most striking visual feature. They provided a completely new look and were combined with wide flared ones Fenders, with powerful 22-inch five-spoke wheels and a powerful one front apron with a huge air inlet in the style of a smiley.

Ruf attested the top speed of the high-performance SUV 290 km/h. That still impresses 13 years later. Aesthetically, the Dakara looks like a Cayenne on steroids, but more or less the design still works excellently. Incidentally, the price in 2009 was a breathtaking $327.853, or about 311.000 euros.
