RUF Automobile donated a 911 cowboy boot! This very special Porsche 911 all-wheel drive comes from the manufacturer Ruf from Pfaffenhausen as the "Rodeo Concept". The basis is of course a Porsche 964 from the 2011 series and Alois Ruf, according to his own statements, was inspired by the Rodeo Drive Concours d'Elegance and the 911 Western Collection by Ralph Lauren. The Texas collector and reputation fan Phillip Sarofim, who really wanted to see the XNUMX in a cowboy look, did not give up. The basis for the carbon monocoque chassis comes from the Ruf CTR Anniversary and the current Ruf SCR. But there is a difference compared to the street versions. Because the Rodeo Concept is designed to be able to conquer even easy terrain.

The XNUMX therefore even has a special all-wheel drive, the distribution of which can be varied using the rotary knob on the center console. In addition, a chassis with longer suspension travel and a lift kit is also installed. There was also a set of larger aluminum rims with significantly more profiled All-Terrain Michelin slippers and in front of flying stones the following (or galloping) Cowboys protected thanks to large washcloths. And, of course, the front apron with solid leather ram brackets with coiled lasso and protective grille as well as the front hood with four additional rally headlights must also be mentioned. The hood is also secured with two leather straps that bring a really cool look. The same also applies to the engine cover at the rear.

And there is even more lighting thanks to additional lights directly on the roof rack, which is packed with two large pockets and additional luggage. And if you get stuck at some point, the spade installed on the motor cover should be of great help. RUF optically stages the single piece with a two-tone paint finish with a dark-colored lower part, so that wheel arches and aprons appear even more distinctive and powerful. And the paint is delicately separated with a narrow dividing line in red. And of course a lot has happened in the cabin. The interior, equipped with an integrated roll cage, provides Ruf with new leather in brown, which in combination with seat center panels in the look of Mexican horse blankets exudes a very special charm. In addition, a central motif that was inspired by Indian art somewhere in the Southwest of the USA and the exclusivity is finished inside.

4,0 liter six-cylinder & all-wheel drive

With the very special modifications and the extensive accessories, the spontaneous trip into the wilderness should be guaranteed. And Ruf installed, depending on customer requirements, either a 4,0-liter six-cylinder boxer unit as a vacuum cleaner or with a turbocharger in the Rodeo Elfer. At least 510 hp in combination with a six-speed manual transmission are guaranteed. As already mentioned, it is currently still a study that leads to this unique piece.
