In January 2023 this 730 hp Ruf RT12 R will be auctioned at Mecum Auctions. RUF has only built the extreme sports car a total of 13 times and this example has been unused to a certain extent with only 444 kilometers driven. The 730 hp biturbo beast from Pfaffenhausen has a heavily tuned 3,8-liter boxer engine in the rear and was built in 2015. Due to the low kilometers, the green Porsche offshoot will probably easily increase into the seven-digit range at the auction. The fact that of the thirteen RT12 Rs mentioned above were only built with rear-wheel drive played a major role in this. And this monster is one of them. A massive 939 Newton meters of maximum torque falls over the rear wheels and is switched manually using a six-speed gearbox.

RUF RT12 R

If you get the start right, you can reach country road speed in 3,3 seconds and the 20,1 breaks through the 300 mark after just 7 seconds. These are still crazy key data a good XNUMX years later. There it is Tachometer up to 370 km/h sense. Incidentally, the negative acceleration is just as spectacular as the acceleration, because the RT12 R is decelerated by means of huge Carbon-ceramic brakes with bright yellow saddles. On the outside, the body has some carbon, such as on the Exterior mirrors or the big one rear wing. Inside, on the other hand, they are Full bucket seats, which are made of carbon and whose upholstery is certainly a matter of taste with regard to the choice of color for the checkered pattern. In general, RUF built so much carbon into the R version of the RT12 that the weight has dropped to 1.495 kg, a good 80 kg less than that of the Call RT12 S lies.

based on 997 Carrera 4

Incidentally, the base vehicle for the conversion is the wide all-wheel drive body of the 997 Carrera 4, but the engine is based on the turbo unit of the 996. The six-wheeler is coupled to a significantly reinforced transmission from the 997 Turbo. For the perfect driving dynamics, RUF installed chassis components from the 911 Cup racing car, among other things, and the combination of everything meant that the new price was around €327.250 at the time. Currently, however, it can be assumed that this sum will more than triple. If we get more information, there is of course an update for this report.
