What the Russian tuner TopCar last year for the current one Porsche 911 (991) presented that is what RUF Automobile GmbH is now showing us on the classic 993! I'm talking about the fact that almost the entire body of the 911er can be replaced by carbon components on request. Due to this extensive change, the 993 loses significantly in weight and by means of an increase in performance to 490 PS / 360 KW & 620 NM, the whole thing manifests itself in extremely improved acceleration times. Specifically, this means that it can go from 3,6 to 0 km / h in just 100 seconds using a six-speed manual transmission and the RUF Turbo R slowly but surely runs out of breath at an extreme 330 km / h. If that is still not enough for you, RUF has another performance upgrade in stock that ensures that a maximum of 590 PS are produced in the rear and the all-wheel-drive Turbo R goes a step further.
Of course, not only has the performance of the 993 been increased, the chassis components have also been extensively adapted. This means that the chassis has been revised and the braking system has also been adapted to the significantly increased performance. And the interior is also completely individualized because the finest leather, a sports steering wheel, sports seats and a complete instrument overview have been installed. An integrated roll cage also ensures more safety. All in all, a breathtaking vehicle that, at least for me, leaves no thought of one of the current models.
