From the polish team Carlex design today comes a “tuned” legendary vehicle. A Mercedes-Benz (W113) 230 SL which is also nicknamed Pay of is known. And anyone who immediately turns up his nose at the thought of "tuning" the classic built between 1963 and 1971 can be reassured. The changes are limited to the interior and have no negative effects in any way. But on the contrary! Carlex Design conjures up a completely refined cabin in the 230 SL that makes the oldi an absolute one-off, with full utility value. Every little detail of the interior had to undergo a revision and almost everything was covered with leather.

For example, the upper and lower parts of the dashboard were covered with extra-thick and hand stitched leather, and the center console and the entire footwell are leather-covered. In terms of colors, they opted for a classic dark brown in combination with a chic light brown. Whether door panels, shift bag, handbrake handle or sun visor, everything was done in meticulous handcrafted leather and installed with great attention to detail. Of course, this also applies to the cover under which the soft top of the SL hides. And also the visible metal surfaces were removed and individually painted and this affects even the classic steering wheel.

This is now highly polished and also carries a hand-stitched leather cover with contrasting piping. Another highlight is the beautiful picnic basket in the trunk of course also carries a complete outfit in leather next to all useful utensils. The back seat got a large leather-covered box for the luggage in BiColor design. More details are part of the project Mercedes-Benz 230 SL Pagoda (W113) by Carlex Design but currently not available.
