70s look: Caterham Super Seven 600 and 2000!

Manufacturer Caterham is back with a new Heritage range. It contains two vehicles from the Super Seven series in the form of Super Sevens 600 and the Super Sevens 2000. Both will be sold in the UK, with the 2000 later coming to the US as well. And both can be bought as a kit or as finished vehicles. The Super Seven 600 is powered by a 0,6-liter Suzuki turbo engine that delivers a maximum of 84 hp (as in the Seven 170). It stands on a "live axle chassis" and accelerates in 6,9 seconds at 100 km / h. The more powerful version, on the other hand, has one 2,0 liter Ford Duratec engine with 180 hp and is mechanically related to the Seven 360.

Both share De Dion chassis, which can also be found in other Caterham models. For the sprint to 100 km/h, the more powerful version only needs 4,8 seconds. And if you want more power for the race track, you can get an optional one sports suspension with rear Stabilisator and improved Bremsanlage order. Visually, the two Super Seven models are a mix of typical Caterham looks from the 70s and 80s. You can see that on the issued front Fenders, to the classic 14 inch rims with Avon ZT7 tires, the polished side built-in Exhaust and the typical tail lights, which as a modern touch though LED technology are equipped.

And inside? There's a black one Leather Steering Wheels, one with teppich paneled rear wall (available in different colors), leather seats, a noble dashboard and a leather one Transmission tunnel and Handbremsbalg. Incidentally, some colors are exclusive to the new Super Seven series and are therefore not available for other Caterham vehicles. In the UK, the Super Seven 600 starts at £29.990 and the Super Seven 2000 at £39.990. Both prices apply to the vehicle as Kit.
