1970 Chevelle Super Sport based on the Chevrolet Camaro!

Anyone interested in a modern Camaro with a dose Nostalgia to equip, the company should "Trans Am Worldwide“ look closer. We already know them from other conversions like one Trans Am 455 Super Duty based on the Camaro, and now build a new one "70/SS". And this time, too, the crew from the TAW workshop in Tallahassee (Florida/USA) ensures that the result is successful and not tinkered with. Most of the new look is actually carried over authentically from the legendary 1970 Chevelle. This awakens the old series based on a current Camaro on the modern GM Alpha platform. Most of the old ones Body components will be removed from TAW and specifically the front section is a pretty cool take on the 70's classic, given its four rounds headlights and the pointed one Stainless steel grille with two struts.

There is also a “Cowl Induction” power dome on the bonnet in combination with two wide ones Strip. And also on Rear the conversion is an eye-catcher. the rear apron reminiscent of the rear view of the 70's Chevelle and with small details like that Retro door handles, matching rims and new ones side panels the visual appearance is rounded off. And under the hood? There is different Variants as a drive. The entry marks a 450 hp strong LT1 V8 engine. But there is also one for this 396 cubic inch V8, which according to the company is capable of sending up to 900 hp to the rear wheels. And the most extreme variant is a LS6/X Twin Turbo 454 Monster with supposedly 1.500 PS on the bike. TAW even describes the level of performance as completely "roadworthy". However, the LS6/X is intended to only 25 vehicles be limited. And inside? There are a few changes there too. However, only very subtly.

Essentially, the interior of the 70/SS is instantly recognizable as a modern Camaro. Nevertheless, TAW installed a few retro embellishments in the form of one Cue ball shifter, new ones Fonts for the instruments and there is a 70's style pattern on the Seats. A few special ones too Colors and Emblems are in. Optionally, a detachable Hardtop be ordered. Prices in the US start at around 150.000 US Dollars and can, of course, skyrocket significantly depending on the level of performance and customization requests of the customer. Nostalgia, as we know, is an expensive thing. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
