The year is slowly but surely coming to an end and January 2023 is just around the corner. And like every year, the two auction houses mecum and Barrett-Jackson vying for the attention of collectors with two mammoth events. And for some time now both have started to publish initial information about the best vehicles at the auction, which will all go under the hammer from January. In addition, Barrett-Jackson recently announced that between January 21st and 29th in Scottsdale (Arizona/USA) some incredible vehicles without a minimum bid be auctioned. And one of those vehicles is this incredible 1955 Chevrolet 210 Restomod (Lot #1332), which is reminiscent of the golden age of capitalism with every millimeter, so that one immediately feels transported back to the long-gone age.

The vehicle is an older project by the Washington-based team at Whipple Motorsports Speed & Custom and was originally intended for one of the past SEMA auto shows. After that, the one-of-a-kind was even featured on the cover of Modern Rodding Magazine and also won the Goodguys Award. According to the tuner, it took an incredible 2.000 hours of work Catering and the conversion necessary to put the unique piece on its feet.

It all started with a kind of Morrison GT SportChassis, the one clean Body received and of course a completely new suspension and one sports brake system. The very nicely drawn body of the '55 210, which was given the same colors as the original, is shown in Autumn Bronze with Shoreline Beige Base. There are tons of leather in the interior and also a Vintage Air System, Classic Instruments gauges and a modern Kenwood/Kicker audio system with four speakers is installed.
LS3 V8 engine with almost 600 hp
The highlight, of course, is under the long bonnet of the 210. Because one was installed here LS3 V8 enginefrom Southern Performance Systems was trimmed to an output of 567 hp. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and sends power to the rear wheels. Incidentally, the wheel set is Raceline Desperado rims in 18 and 19 inches, which are equipped with Nitto NT555 tires. The 1955 Chevrolet 210 will be auctioned in January with no starting bid.
