With Silverado chassis: 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Restomod!

Diesen Restomod based on a 1955 Chevy 3100 pickup we don't want to withhold it from you. He was from Travis Sanchez built, who runs a custom car workshop in Phoenix. The conversion has the frame, the front wheel suspension, various drive components, the engine and the transmission from a 2002 Silverado. Everything is hidden under the sheet metal. Above it sits a beautiful 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Small Window body, identified by the tuner as "Blue Betty" referred to as. She is finished in PPG Glacier Blue paintwork and the roof is finished in "Jack Frost Pearl White" discontinued. The cabin got a big window at the back and it's a cool one at the front Sun visor as a roof approach that catches the eye.

The truck bed is lined with hardwood, and the Chevy 3100's flared wheel arches rotate with two-piece rims measuring 22×12 inches at the rear and 22×9,5 inches at the front. And the two-tone appearance continues in the interior, which largely retains the classic style of the 1955 Chevy 3100 thanks to the retro blue and white look. But there are some modern touches here too, like a new JL audio system. And under the hood? As already mentioned, that's where the drive from the Silverado sits. Specifically it is a 5,3 liter V8 LS petrol engine, which is partly also painted blue (valve cover, engine block). Performance is also subtly increased with a 92mm throttle body, new intake manifold, stainless steel exhaust system and a new camshaft.

Lower thanks to Accuair Airride air suspension

Incidentally, the engine is coupled to the standard one 4L60-E four-speed automatic of the Silverado. Since the conversion, the unique vehicle has been braked by standard Silverado components, apart from a new CPP booster, a different master brake cylinder and slotted and perforated high-performance discs. And finally there would be this Accuair Airride air suspensionmercilessly pushing the Chevy 3100 toward the road. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed about this if you simply use our Feed subscribe to. His collection of books, magazines and brochures on the subject of car tuning has now reached such proportions that he himself has become a walking reference work for the tuning scene.  More about Thomas
