We can't withhold this Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z from 1985 from you. The IROC-Z package was then available as an option for the Z28 and was intended as a handling package with improvements to the chassis and additional struts. Nevertheless, the old IROCs can of course no longer be compared with the modern Camaros of today. At least not if they are still in their original condition. But for many tuners, the IROC-Z is the perfect basis for unique project vehicles, which also includes the team at Greening Auto Company for a trip to the Winterlude.
Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z
We already know the tuner with one 1.200 hp Restomod Ford Maverick Coupe with BiTurbo V8, and now you've converted a Camaro IROC-Z. The vehicle could also be seen at the last SEMA Auto Show (2022) and even took part in the "Battle of the Builders", but unfortunately did not win any prizes.
Greening Auto of Cullman, Alabama, gave the IROC-Z Detroit Speed suspension, sport carbon fiberaerodynamic parts from Fiber Forged Composites and a custom-built three-piece Greening Autowheelset equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Furthermore, the Camaro from the mid-80s is wrapped in a carmine red finish from Glasurit. And, as expected, the cabin has also changed. There was a loving and detailed retro-inspired individual interior with Sport steering wheel, new center console and high-quality leather interior.
with Don Hardy LSX racing engine
But the most important thing is of course under the hood. Namely in the form of a Don Hardy LSX 440 cubic inch (7,2L) racing engine in combination with a Bowler Performance 4L80E automatic transmission. So who is planning a new Restomod project to start, who should eventually get a well-preserved third-generation Camaro.
