The revised Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Stingray model year 2018 comes with the well-known 6,2-liter naturally aspirated engine, components of the Z06 and 466 PS as well as 630 Nm torque. For the American tuner Hennessey Performance was the performance in view of 1.585 kg curb weight but apparently still far too low. reason enough the well-known HPE1000 kit now also to adapt to the, probably last expansion stage, the C7. Hennessy shows the result directly on the dynamometer, where the 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport can now boast huge 1000 HP & 831 lb-ft (approx. 739 PS & 840 NM) on the rear wheels using the HPE1.000 compressor. This corresponds to approx. 1.000 PS & 1.100 NM engine power, which is a huge upgrade even compared to the C7 ZR1. And if you have the ZR1 with the HPE1200 kit then it will soon be possible to equip the 2018 Corvette Grand Sport.
the details of the HPE1000 Kit:
- High-flow compressor supercharging system
- forged pistons
- forged pleul
- HPE camshaft
- machined cylinder heads
- machined injectors
- improved fuel system
- High Flow intercooling
- new intercooler heat exchanger
- Downpipe made of stainless steel incl. Exhaust header
- Stainless steel mid pipes
- High flow catalysts
