Perfectly restored - 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer pickup!

This restored 1972 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is looking for a new home. It will be auctioned off soon. As is known, Chevrolet introduced the K5 Blazer in 1969 as a rival to the Ford Bronco. And it quickly proved to be particularly popular and achieved real cult status in the years that followed. While the name Blazer is still used by General Motors, the current model is far from the cool original. However this copy that on Bring a trailer can be auctioned is a typical blazer from back then, but which was bought in 2018 after a restoration and has since been painted in Hugger orange and white. As part of the restoration, the chassis, the engine and the differential were completely overhauled and the 350 cubic inch V8 got a new carburetor under the hood and even a new air conditioning system is installed. It worked with a new capacitor, there were new lines and all the hoses are new. The engine is linked to a three-speed automatic transmission and a new transfer case with two ratios and distributes its power to the rear wheels or, if desired, to all four tires.

The eye-catching paintwork is complemented by new chrome aprons at the front and rear, there were new mirrors, new headlights, various new trim parts and a removable white single-walled hardtop is part of it. For the chassis, a 4-inch (approx. 10 cm) lift kit was used, which in combination with 15-inch rims including a mighty 33-inch (0,84 m) BFGoodrich All-Terrain T / A KO2 tire for a lot of terrain Propulsion ensures. And the interior of the K5 Blazer has also been refreshed and now has new carpets, leather bucket seats and a rear bench seat padded with black fabric. There is also a modern audio system with Bluetooth and even a JF audio subwoofer. If we get more information about the changes, there will of course be an update for this report.
