We are currently receiving one vehicle after another from the Mecum auction platform. And, especially often, they are modified pickups from the 70s and 80s. The best example is this completely rebuilt 1984 Chevrolet pickup that is already in the Truckin Magazine and was exhibited as a star at various trade fairs in the USA. Now he's in a heated garage for an upcoming mecum auction scheduled for this week in Dallas, Texas. The pickup officially bears the title "Silverado from 1984“And has an LS-V8 engine under the hood including a 4L60 gearbox. Unfortunately, Mecum has not yet given any information about the performance of the engine, but keeps the description of the vehicle short and sweet. The body of the classic is of unnecessary moldings, the door handles (even on the tailgate) and various glued-on logos and only shows itself with an elegant cream-colored paint, which is replaced in the upper part by a chic metallic green.
Lowering with Airride air suspension
Of course, there was a lowering by means of Airride air suspension and, in addition, befitting 22 inch chrome rims. Behind the new Alus there is a sports brake system from Wilwood and with other components such as Scott's Hot Rods cross members, a four-link rear suspension or the meticulously applied Line-X loading surface coating, the exterior changes are essentially rounded off. The cabin is also worth mentioning. It is completely wrapped in peanut butter brown and is loosened up with aluminum details.
everything in the Chevy pickup is now upholstered in leather
Including the dashboard and the steering wheel, everything is covered with leather and the color of the footwell is also matched. And chic, refined round instruments, a new set of pedals and elegant seat belts are now also installed. Mecum estimates that the pickup, which is part of a collection of similar vehicles called Hill's Hot Rods Square Body Trucks, will retail for between $ 35.000 and $ 50.000. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report. You will be informed of this if you simply do ours Feed subscribe to.
