It has been over two weeks since we showed you what Shiftech from the BMW 1er F20 114i via chip tuning, a sports air filter and a new charge air cooler. 102 PS became a whopping 224 PS and thus the small 1 Series has more than twice the power than before the tuning. And today we would like to show you that the diesel is also capable of similar increases in performance. The 116D is equipped with the new B37C15 - in-line three-cylinder which, as is well known, delivers 116 PS & 278 NM torque ex works. BR Performance Luxembourg gave the small 1 Series its own chip tuning, installed a sports air filter and, as far as we know, removed the catalytic converter. The result is an impressive 199 PS & 470 NM which, especially in terms of torque, almost approach values of a BMW E39 M5. An absolutely impressive value when you consider that only a small three-cylinder is installed here, which is the smallest diesel engine in the BMW range. There isn't much more to say about the car so we leave it with the pictures. If we get more information about the modifications to the 116D, there will of course, as always, be an update for this report. This is a vFl F20, which is equipped with the 1998ccm (2.0) N47D20 engine!
is also under the pictures below “2.0).
This is an 4 cylinder with 2 liter displacement.

thank you for your actually very understandable statement. However, the series performance with 116 PS & 260 NM is also described in the picture. The N47D20 has the same torque but 143 hp. Again, the B37C15 should only have been available as a facelift since this engine was only available from 01/2015. At the moment we are also inclined to your opinion that the N47D20 four-cylinder with 143 hp is installed here. We might get a resolution from the BR-Performance tuner.
