Currently there is the first generation of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo (Type 9PA -> 957 from 08-2010) to buy from approx. 17.000 € and for this money you can already compete with BMW and Mercedes for this money with a full 500 PS & 750 NM torque (also the current series, possibly not necessarily M or AMG models), to annoy! But if it would also want to compete with the current top models of the competitors, who only need chip tuning in the Cayenne and that is already possible. Shiftech Lyon showed us this impressively last weekend by presenting a Cayenne Turbo that sends 561 PS & 854 NM torque to all four wheels by means of chip tuning. Thus, the vehicle clearly surpasses the facelifted Turbo S counterpart with its 550 PS & 750 NM torque and even the current Type 92A, as Turbo S, has maximum parity with its 570PS & 800 NM torque.

And if we are correctly informed, Shiftech only achieved the increase in performance by means of chip tuning, the possibility of using a modified downpipe, sports exhaust system, revised turbocharger, etc. to get over 600 PS should therefore be possible without any problems. The extent to which components such as the gearbox or the drives still play a role is another matter. Of course, if we get more information about the modifications to the Cayenne, there is, as always, an update for this report. The best thing is to subscribe to our feed and if there is something new you will be informed immediately. We hope you enjoy looking at the pictures.

These are the changes to the Porsche Cayenne Turbo 957 4.8 V8:

  • Performance increase - (chip tuning)
  • possibly a sports exhaust system (more information is not available)
