Longer & armoured: KLASSEN® Automobile Mercedes G-Class!

For the current Mercedes-Benz G-Class, specifically the AMG G 63 (W463 A), the KLASSEN® Automobile team is now starting with a conversion to armor and with a long wheelbase. On request, KLASSEN® Automobile extends the wheelbase to 136,6 inches (3.470 mm) instead of the factory 113,8 inches (2.890 mm). This increases the overall length from 4.881 mm to an impressive 5.461 mm. The G-Class is growing significantly and is even a good 25 cm longer than a GLS. This becomes visible on the longer rear doors and fenders. The side windows are also lengthened accordingly. But not only that. The highlight of the conversion is not only that Stretching, instead it's the VR8 armor. This means that "the G" can withstand a 7,62 bullet from an AK-47!

Longer & Armored!

Stronger panes with multi-layer armored glass are installed, there is a reinforced passenger cell including roof and floor and there is also special protection for the chassis and the fuel tank. But that's not all. Let's continue with one Fire extinguishing system, an intercom system, there are special runflat tires and even the chassis has been revised. The latter is equipped with reinforced springs and shock absorbers, and even the door hinges are part of the armor. The rest of all equipment features from the factory are of course retained.

no increase in performance planned - but possible

And the engine is also retained, but now has a lot more to carry. The AMG V8 (4,0 liter BiTurbo) delivers an impressive 585 hp and a torque of 850 Nm. Although we don't know the actual weight due to the armor and the lengthening of the body, we expect at least 8 to 700 kilograms more with a VR850 armor.
