M-DKG and its advantages or not, for many M fanatics the only real way to tame the high-revving V8 is in connection with a 6-speed manual transmission. As an automated, electronically controlled manual transmission with seven gears and two clutches, the DKG is of course faster than if you shift the gear manually. But 0,2 seconds in the sprint from 0 to 100 km / h, or approx. 1 second in the sprint to 200 km / h, many have forgotten to save on the DKG, which is sometimes rough, especially when it is cold. And on top of that almost 4000 € ... But there is also the category that wants both, but determines that BMW cannot deliver the acceleration of the M3 DKG in connection with the 6-speed manual transmission - as well! Just such a guy seems to be the owner of this elegant white E90 M3 sedan that was recently bought by the tuner ModBargains was on site.

He really wanted to keep the manual transmission but did not suffer any loss in acceleration. Without further ado, he installed a Harrop compressor system and thus helped the V8 engine to achieve a great leap in performance. Although we do not know any performance data, we have often seen that the 420 PS & 400 NM torque strong V8 can be easily pushed towards 600 PS by means of a compressor. With this performance, not only the acceleration times of the E90 with DKG are history, but also the current models in the form of the M4 F82 or the big brother M5 F10 are left behind. The highlight of this car is the fact that you can hardly see any difference to the production vehicle from the outside, so this M3 should cause a lot of surprises. Visually everything should remain understatement and so the front was only subtly changed by installing a set of black kidneys and an Arkym carbon front spoiler that is seamlessly integrated into the M bumper. And the rear also got a few changes because a subtle carbon spoiler lip and an Arkym carbon diffuser which is probably the most noticeable component were installed here.

The perfect coordination of the increase in performance is achieved with a REMUS sports exhaust system including carbon tailpipes and at the latest when you step on the accelerator, the difference compared to the series is now audible. There were also a few changes inside and so a lot of carbon interior from BMW M Performance was built in and even the steering wheel is adorned with the lightweight material. The aforementioned 6-speed gearshift is also implemented using a BMW M Performance gear lever. An absolutely spectacular vehicle that is particularly impressive because of its inconspicuousness and is certainly a lot of fun.
