Chevrolet Corvette Z06 & Stingray as 70th Anniversary Edition!

It has been almost seventy years since Chevrolet launched the legendary Corvette sports car. In fact, it was 1953. And to celebrate, there's a premature special model. And that has a few visual features and even does something good. The celebrations for the anniversary will start in 2022 and the first special models will be based on the model variants Stingray and Z06 (Coupé and convertible, model year 2023). Curtain up for them 70th Anniversary Edition Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and Corvette Stingray. However, one thing in advance, there are no technical changes as far as we know. In principle, it's all about some color! The offshoots of the 70th Anniversary Edition enjoy the two special paints "White Pearl Metallic Tri Coat"Or"Carbon Flash Metallic' and there are contrasting ones Strip in satin gray (with white paint) or black included. Next there are special Rims with different designs between Stingray and Z06, but always with a black and red finish and anniversary logos on the Hub caps equipped.

70th Anniversary Edition

Specific Emblems are generally seen everywhere on the body. You also color them calipers red on and also in red shines the Engine cover, at least on the 70th Anniversary Edition Stingray Coupé. By the way, there is always a special one trunk protective strip and a suitable one Suitcase set. But that's not all. There are a few inside too Logos. For example on the seats, the steering wheel or the exclusive door sills.

The seating of the 70th Anniversary Edition features (two-tone) Manager related and you can choose between the GT2 and the Competition Sport variant. The color is set off Leather seats with red stitching and seat belts. Microfiber seat inserts nebst steering wheel cover made of suede are also included. As mentioned at the beginning, nothing will change technically. Furthermore, the Stingray with the 6,2 liter vacuum cleaner equipped, the 502 hp and 637 Newton meters (with optional performance exhaust) generated.

In the Z06, which will not be introduced until model year 2023, however, the new one is at work 5,5 liter naturally aspirated V8 with flat-plane crankshaft and 679 PS & 623 Nm of torque. There is no information yet on the prices for the Vettes as a 70th Anniversary Edition. However, we know the first copy, a Z06, with the Chassis number 001 will be auctioned off on January 29th at a Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale for a good cause. This copy is then officially the first built Corvette Z06 with mid-engine. If we get more information about the changes, there is of course an update for this report.
