Chevrolet Corvette C8 with widebody kit from Concept8!

Many car fans and Corvette enthusiasts were appalled when Chevrolet announced that they could get the C8 with one Mid-engine layout equips. Not only has the large, practical trunk of the C7 predecessor disappeared, but the classic Corvette design can no longer be implemented with the new drive concept. Apparently, the popularity has remained high, because tuning companies from all over the world are presenting their tuning parts for the current Vette, which are intended to help the US sports car become more individual. Reports on the current generation of Chevrolet's best-known sports car often go viral on the Internet, and perhaps the Corvette has finally made it into the super sports car league after the concept change. Today we are introducing you to a C8 including a widebody kit from the US tuning company Concept8 .

Wide, bad and inspired by motorsport!

The owner of Concept8, Jeff Nowicki, who also founded Nowicki Autosport, has specialized in optimizing the look and performance of all newer Corvette generations, and the radically transformed eighth generation should not be missing. The vehicle we're reporting on today is a 2020 Corvette Z51 Coupé in the color Blade Silver, which Nowicki and his team have been using as a test balloon for new tuning parts and modifications since 2021. So were 20 inchalloy wheels from Forgeline / Dymag based on the model name CF203 were christened, built with a dynamic double-spoke look and gray finish, which makes the look even more aggressive.

Together with the widely exhibited Fenders, which grew by a full 4 cm in width due to the wide body kit, they ensure an extremely brawny appearance of the US sports car icon. At the same time, the kit in combination with the new rims ensures a weight reduction of the whole 20 kg. Modifications to the chassis should of course not be missing, and so developed Nowicki Autosport zusammen mit Hotchki's Motorsport a revised one suspension with adjustable stabilizers, which should significantly increase the cornering speed of the car, primarily on the racetrack.

Of course it should be mentioned that the widebody kit is made Carbon and is therefore both light and very stable. Lastly, the four were arranged symmetrically exhaust pipes With a Titanium foil coated by Design Engineering to improve their heat resistance. Further modifications to the exterior and the drive train are planned and will probably first be seen on this car before they are officially offered for sale by Jeff Nowicki and his crew.

There have been no changes in the interior so far!

According to Jeff Nowicki, quality and design have made a quantum leap compared to the last Corvette generations, so that from his point of view it is not necessary to change anything in the interior. Even the standard ones Racing seats are designed to be retrofitted with Harness belts At least that was Nowicki's statement that it could be equipped.

5,5 liter V8 naturally aspirated gasoline engine

The tuning crew, who is responsible for the drive train, elicited additional ones from the Corvette 18 horses and 45 Newton meters of torqueby making a new one Air Filter of the type AttackBlue installed and the original Headers against a High performance manifold from American Racing Headers exchanged. These measures are probably sufficient to elicit the predicted additional power and the higher maximum torque from the Corvette. According to Nowicki Autosport, the total output is now included 508 HP and the torque rose to breathtaking 682 Newton meter on. There was also a Carbon makeover for the engine cover. Unfortunately, we have no information about the exact performance, but with this C8 you should be able to chase various Porsche models back and forth on the road as well as on the racetrack without any problems.

Our conclusion on the Corvette C8 from Concept8 and Nowicki Autosport:

A successful test balloon for various tuning projects that are to be implemented in the future, and we are excited to see what the tuning world has to offer for the Corvette C8 in the next few years.
